I drew this on the 17th, during a note conversation with a watcher (just something to do between notifications).
GENE: "Hey, Mimi! Me and Tasli are playing Hero and Dragon. Wanna join?
MIMI: "Sure. Do I need a costume?"
GENE: "Nah! Just pretend you're a princess and I'll rescue you from the dragon"
TASLI: "Rawr!"
MIMI: "I'm a strong, independent girl---I don't need a boy to rescue me!"
GENE (to Tasli): "Then maybe I can rescue you from Mimi!?"
TASLI: "I'm a strong, independent dragon---I don't need rescuing"
GENE: "I'm strong, but not independent---a hero needs someone to save!"
TASLI (about to pounce Gene): "You can try saving yourself from us!"
GENE (freaking out): "I'm strong and independent! I'm strong and independent!"
(the cubs exchange glances)
TASLI: "That settles it; we're all too strong and independent for this game!"
GENE: "Well, I'm gonna pretend to be normal kid pretending to be a hero"
MIMI: "And I was beginning to like the princess idea, so I'm a princess"
