Ductie (Mr. Conductor) was about to toot the whistle on the Dinosaur Train when he heard the explosion, he looked outside through the window of the Dinosaur Train to see the shockwave in the sky as it flashes once.

A feeling of dread flowed through his body, ``So it begins.'' he sighs as he looks at the ground, he runs out of the Dinosaur Train in worry and begins to look for the cave.

When he got there however, it was too late, the troodon found Tobias comforting Keenan, along with the Pteranodon family looking sadly at the sight with Tiangui hovering behind them.

``What happened?'' Ductie asked him, he had a good idea what had happened, but he needed confirmation first, and he got the confirmation as soon as he saw the mana container broken on the floor, he was pretty mad.

``You!'' Ductie scowled at Tiangui, staring at him with his brown angry eyes, ``DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA WHAT YOU'VE DONE?''

The Dinosaurs backed away, Tobias tapped Ductie's shoulder, he turned around to see Tobias looking at him angrily, ``It wasn't him.'' he explained, ``Another troodon destroyed the mana container, then he teleported back to Fenhue with Kiera.''

"But he still opened the door to-" Ductie seemed to restrain himself for a second, much to Tobias's confusion, ``Another troodon?'' Ductie looked sternly at Tobias, ``Was he wearing a green jacket?''

When Tobias nodded, Ductie sighed remorsefully, ``That troodon, his name is Theo.'' Ductie began, ``He was friends with my mother, but he disappeared a year ago.''

``Why did he disappear?'' Buddy asked curiously.

``I don't know.'' Ductie replied, ``But what I do know is a week before he disappeared, his son died.''

``How did he die?'' Tiny asked with a hint of sadness.

``He never told me.'' Ductie replied quietly as he turned away from everyone, he was then hesitant for a bit, ``I think my mother knows a bit more about him, but for now we should get out of this cave.

They began to leave the cave, as they did, Tobias noticed Keenan looked sad, the dragon wondered if the Chirostenotes would be able to survive on his own, and when they reached the Dinosaur Train, Tobias couldn't help but notice Keenan wasn't getting on the train, judging by his sad expression, Tobias figured that Keenan also wasn't sure about survival.

``Don't you wanna come with us?'' Tobias asked Keenan as he reached out his hand, Keenan suddenly tried to look tough, ``I'll be fine.'' he replied stubbornly, Tobias then guessed he must still be upset about his sister, Tobias tried to reach out to Keenan but he swatted Tobias's hand away.

Tobias rubbed his hand as Keenan ran off into the Big Pond, ``Can you give me a second?'' he asked Ductie, the troodon shook his head, ``We'll be leaving shortly.'' Ductie explained, ``You won't have time to find Keenan.''

Tobias thought for a moment, he then had an idea, ``One second.'' Tobias explained, ``I just need to do one thing.'' Tobias stood outside on the station, he got out his ManaPhone, opened the teleportation app, and bookmarked the coordinates so he could teleport always teleport to the Big Pond when he wanted to, he got on the Dinosaur Train, it made its way back to Pteranodon Terrace.

As the train left the station, Tobias gloomily looked out of the window, all he could think about was Keenan, would he be able to survive outside? What if a predator attacked him?

Meanwhile, Ductie had told Tiangui to talk to him in the caboose, when they were alone, Ductie was pretty stern with Tiangui, ``Look, I don't trust you.'' he began as he pointed at Tiangui as if he was telling him off, ``My mom told me that bad things happen when the avatar appears, and letting Theo unleash mana energy into this world might just have begun a chain of events we might not be able to reverse!''

``Relax!'' Tiangui patted Ductie's back, ``You must have met my previous life! I'll make a bunch of changes for the better!'' he got out his ManaPhone, ``Who's world is ready for ManaTech?'' he said snarkly as he waved his ManaPhone in front of the troodon that clearly knew Tiangui wasn't taking his situation seriously, but when Ductie heard that last sentence, he suddenly grabbed Tiangui's shoulders.

``I don't want any ManaTech in this world!'' Ductie shouted loudly, he was pretty mad now, ``This world had an experience with mana once, and it ended terribly!''

``Again, last avatar's fault!'' Tiangui was clearly unfazed by Ductie's warnings, he began to leave the caboose as Ductie let go of him, ``Last avatar was a jerk, this avatar is going to be different!'' As he walked out, Ductie groaned angrily.

``He has no idea what ManaTech nearly did to us!'' Ductie muttered angrily as he walked back to the main cart.

Buddy looked to his side and noticed Tobias looking outside gloomily, ``Are you still thinking about Keenan?'' he asked Tobias comfortingly.

``Yeah.'' Tobias sighed as he turned to Buddy, his eyes caught, ``I don't understand why Keenan didn't want to come with us, he knows he won't be able to survive on his own, I wanted to take care of him until we found his sister.''

Perry (Mr. Pteranodon) decided to speak up, ``Are you sure that would have been a. good idea?'' he asked Tobias, ``I understand you have good intentions, but I think it would be something that would have been too big of a change for him.''

``But he's just a kid!'' Tobias argued, ``He can't take care of himself! What if he gets attacked by predators?''

``Well we haven't seen any predators in a while.'' Tiny assured the furred dragon, ``Besides, Keenan made his decision, there was nothing we could do.''

Tobias sighed again, ``At least there's nothing stopping me from going back at least.'' he assured himself, the train parked at Pteranodon Terrace as Ductie announced loudly, the Pteranodon family and the two benders left the train, as the train rode off into the distance, Tobias stood there and got out his ManaPhone, getting ready to teleport back to Fenhue.

``So how do you think mom will react when we tell her that mana was unleashed into the world?'' Tiangui asked Tobias jokingly.

``No idea.'' Tobias shrugged, ``But something tells me something else is happening behind the scenes, and I'm gonna get behind this.''

``So, there won't be any more of those Fire Bros, right?'' Perry asked Tobias, though you could tell it was more of a reassurance than a question. ``I just want my kids to be safe.''

``It would seem like Theo only wanted to unleash mana into the world.'' Tobias explained to the concerned father, ``So no, but you should expect other dinosaurs to develop bending abilities though.''

The thought intrigued and frightened the dinosaurs, while the idea of having power would be cool, they thought of the possible danger it could pose, a worried moan was let out of Perry, it was then Tobias had an idea.

``How about tomorrow, we go to Fenhue?'' Tobias asked confidently, Buddy and Tiny gasped happily, but Perry rested his hands on their shoulders, ``Whoa.'' the Pteranodon laughed nervously, ``I think things are moving too fast, how about only I go with you for now instead?''

``Yeah, sure.'' Tobias smiled, sure it would be a shame he wouldn't be able to see the reactions of the kids, but for now it was for the best.

Tobias waved goodbye to the Pteranodon family as they flew away, the duo then teleported back into Fenhue, where they met Autumn browsing Facebook on her ManaPhone, she noticed them instantly, she put the phone in sleep mode and stood up.

``You're back.'' Autumn greeted, she noticed the worried faces of the duo, ``What was it? What happened?''

``Well as it turns out it was a troodon who managed to get his hands on ManaTech somehow.'' Tiangui began, ``He hired a bunch of Fire Bros and had someone's sister to lure us into a door I had to open, which had a mana container behind it, he broke it and unleashed the power of mana into the world.''

``Hmph.'' Autumn barely reacted, she seemed to look angry, though a small smirk appeared on her face, it quickly disappeared, ``I see, if Mana has been unleashed into the world, then the inhabitants once exposed long enough will develop bending powers.''

``I can only imagine the possibilities.'' Tobias chuckled nervously, guess he was gonna see a full grown T-Rex earthbend, he checked the time, it was 6:30pm, it was time for everyone to go home, ``I'm gonna get some food then call it a night.''

``Sweet!'' Tiangui clapped his hands together once, ``I'm gonna go plan what to do next with mom at her house!''

``In our house.'' Autumn reminded the Paratroopa, much to his annoyance, they both left the building, leaving Tobias alone.

Tobias went to bed a bit early tonight, his lunch was uneventful, his day ending with another round of level grinding Final Fantasy X-2, unable to make any progress due to him messing up a puzzle and being forced to fight a trap boss.

The worried dragon laid there, unable to sleep, not as things were right now, not with Keenan forced to fend for himself in the Big Pond, Tobias turned to the left of his bed and looked at his ManaPhone, it was barely 8pm.

``Guess I went to bed earlier than I thought.'' The furred dragon thought to himself, he got out of his warm bed and into the bitter cold that was his bedroom, course due to his decision to sleep early, he had slept in his clothes, so the cold wasn't affecting him as much.

He grabbed his black backpack and packed things, a torch and a portable ManaPack, he also microwaved his leftover lunch, some bolognese and pasta and scooped it into a plastic container, he clicked the box shut and packed it in the bag, after packing some cutlery, he lastly packed a blanket as well, now he was ready.

he picked up his phone, opened the teleport app and selected the Big Pond, he knew Keenan chose not to go with him, but he couldn't just leave him there alone either, determined to save him, he pressed the button and teleported to the Big Pond.

It was pitch black, he got out his torch and began to look around for Keenan in the humid lake, it took him a few minutes of waving his torch around, getting some weird stares from various dinosaurs that lived there, some of them shielding their eyes when they accidentally stared directly at the glare of the torch.

But to his relief, eventually he found Keenan, he was laid in what Tobias presumed his family's nest, he was resting his head on the nest, looking sadly into the darkness, he eventually noticed the light that had seemingly appeared out of nowhere, he turned around and saw Tobias as he aimed the torch slightly ajar so Keenan could see him.

Keenan stood up in his nest, ``What do you want?'' he asked sternly, spreading his limbs out in order to look big in an attempt to scare Tobias off, ``I don't need your help!''

Tobias was undeterred, ``I just want to talk to you.'' he assured Keenan, the chirostenotes stood there for a while before he settled and lied back down, albeit turning away from Tobias.

Tobias walked over and sat down next to Keenan, ``How are you doing?'' he asked Keenan, who grumbled something Tobias couldn't hear, ``I'm guessing your doing fine, huh?''

Keenan didn't respond, Tobias frowned, ``I guess not.'' he then heard Keenan's stomach growl rather loudly, ``Didn't you get anything to eat?''

Keenan still didn't respond, ``Have you been laying here since you ran off and-''

``NO!'' Keenan suddenly stood up and turned angrily at Tobias, ``JUST LEAVE ME ALONE!'' he stared angrily at the dragon panting until he laid back down in his nest again, sad.

Tobias petted the depressed chirostenotes, ``You miss your sister?'' he asked, Keenan didn't say anything, he just nodded, he then sat up and stared at Tobias with his tired eyes.

``She was always there to comfort me.'' Keenan lamented weakly, ``She'd always talk to me about fun stories back when she used to babysit, and she'd always protect me if I got into trouble.''

``What about your parents?'' Tobias asked as he gently scratched the bottom of Keenan's beak, ``Didn't they ever help you with your problems?''

``I don't like to talk about my parents.'' Keenan apologized after some brief silence, Tobias felt a hint of sadness, he guessed Keenan's parents weren't the best parents out there, it was then he felt a slight tremor under the ground, there was a steady consistency of rhythm with each tremor that was getting slightly stronger.

Keenan stood up and looked up at the same time as Tobias to see the terrifying vision of a lavender and turquoise face, dinos from the side could see it had stripes of a darker lavender, it was a Daspletosaurus!

``Hey, a midnight snack!'' the predator snarked as he licked his lips, ``And my wife always told me you wouldn't find food in the night.''

Tobias grabbed Keenan and ran off with Keenan in his arms, just in time to get away from the predator's giant purple foot destroying Keenan's nest, a chase began between the two sides, between Tobias's small size and the Daspletosaurus's large but bulky body, Tobias wasn't fast enough, he ran into a small cave that was small enough for the two to hide in, both of them were panting heavily as the Daspletosaurus's big blue eye looked into the cave.

``I'm not gonna admit I'm wrong this time!'' the daspletosaurus roared angrily, he turned around and began swinging his tail against the cave's entrance, small pebbles dropped onto the ground from the roof as the ground shook with each crash caused by the large reptile's tail.

Tobias didn't know how much this cave could take, so he had an idea, ``Stand here.'' Tobias orded a confused and scared Keenan as he placed him just outside the cave wall, the furred dragon aimed his palms against the ground and swung them up, large rocks formed from the ground towards the giant purple beast, and then he melted them into lava and spread the glowing red-hot liquid around the entrance of the cave.

This ability was called Lavabending, a rare sub-skill of Earthbending, it was once thought only the avatar could do such a thing until other Earthbenders proved otherwise, it is usually used for survival when heat isn't available, and is considered illegal in a lot of countries due to its dangerousness.

The Daspletosaurus got a taste of said dangerousness when he suddenly felt a burning pain at the bottom of his now burned foot as he toppled over with a loud crash, yelling in pain, he staggered away and turned around to see a large pool of red and black lava, ``I-I think I'll just swallow my pride for now!'' he whined painfully and limped away with his injury.

``Whew.'' Tobias sighed, relieved that the predator was gone, ``That was close.'' But Keenan pointed at the ground, Tobias noticed the lava slowly edging towards them, ``Oops, my bad.'' he gulped as he aimed his palms at the lava and cooled it down, hardening it into cold flat rock.

``Sorry.'' Tobias laughed nervously, ``I don't usually lavabend too often, so I tend to forget I have to cool it down once I'm done.''

``Right.'' Keenan stared at the rock in uncertainty, ``Is this, safe to walk on?'' he asked.

``Yeah, it's just rock now,'' Tobias smiled, ``But for now I think I should take you to my place.''

Keenan thought for a moment, he sighed and looked away in acceptance, ``Fine.'' he mumbled, ``But how are we gonna go there?''

Tobias opened his backpack and got out his ManaPhone, ``With this.'' he showed the curious chirostenotes, ``I usually keep it in the pocket inside of my robe, but I thought I would be outside for a lot longer.''

Tobias held Keenan's hand and teleported back to his house, Keenan looked around in awe in his new surroundings, being indoors was normal, but he saw things he'd never seen before, like the TV and the Nvidia Shield.

``Where are we?'' Keenan asked Tobias in amazement, this was the first time he'd seen Keenan smile since they were in the cave.

``Your new home, Fenhue.'' Tobias smiled in excitement as he and Keenan shared a hug together, they were going to have a lot of experiences together, some fun, some new, but some grueling, it was the beginning of a new era and this was the spark that ignited it.

Of course, tomorrow was also on his mind, as he would have to show Perry the world of Fenhue,

To be continued.
