A while ago some one ask for some advice on how to draw a face so I put this together and posted it on FA.
I'm reposting here in case anyone else has problems getting it right. this is part 1 of 3.

I start with a simple circle, nice and easy so far.
next, you need to see the circle as a three dimensional shape, put a cross on it so that the lines follow the shape of a ball. this will be the bottom of the eyes and the top of the muzzle.

In the bottom sketch you can see I've added the muzzle and jaw line, again this is a tree dimensional object. Make sure you draw all the lines in even the ones that are on the other side that will be hidden, this will help you see the direction the face is looking.

page 2 shows the eye and ear position lines.
once the position lines are done you can join the top of the eyes with the muzzle and draw the ears on.
Ears can be a bit of a problem and may need a little practice.

Page 3, I've added some fluffy edges, nose, hair and a body.
