Yes. Just like how several PS1 games were too big to fit on one disk, a lot of PC games did the same. CD drives were expensive, and so most games offered versions on both CDs and floppies. I wasn't part of this era, but I watch a lot of LGR, and he tends to collect the floppy versions.

I may have been born in the mid 90s but I do remember bits of the end of the 90s and also early DOS gaming too.

I remember that there would be CD's that had a bunch of Shareware games and there was even this collection of 3 kids games I once played when I was little which was the CD versions of all 3 of the companies games for DOS, bundled as one CD (They also had floppy releases)
