Backstory: With the Venomian War in the Lylat Belt over, many throughout the system sought out the Star Fox team, intent on hiring them for one position or another, always to be disappointed. More enterprising individuals instead gave their attention to the numerous soldiers who had been enlisted in the war, and were now left uncommissioned in the war’s aftermath.
It was unique, however, that anyone would seek out a soldier who was still in active service.
Khan spared no expense. He flew his prospective pilot in from the Lylat Belt, put him up in the finest hotel in Cape Suzette, and held the interview in Khan’s very office. All the readings indicated that Mr. Grey was the perfect candidate for Khan’s purposes. The only question left was whether the man’s allegiance could be shifted from his home planet and the Lylat Belt to Khan Industries.
But if Khan had confidence in anything, it was in his ability to break a man’s loyalty, and remake it exactly as he saw fit.

Commentary: I THINK this one is better than the original.
...I think.
I didn’t pick the best angle or posing for this, but not quite bad enough I think it needs redoing. This one would probably need a proper redraw for me to be happy with it, but I’m not going to.
This is the first pic that doesn’t have its sequel next in the posting order. It belongs after the Scar/Gantu pic down the line so the two phone conversations aren’t completely detached from one another.
