So my intuos5 pen stopped working properly, I think I’ve dropped it too many times already; I can’t do fine lines as I have to press hard for it to respond.

I tried re-installing the drivers for it and it’s the same, I’m sure it’s the pen. I bought a replacement for it already, it should be here in a couple of weeks, hopefully less.

I live in a small town, there are no stores that sell these things specially, except for few ones that bring cheaper tablets. I thought it would be a good idea to buy an intuos art while I wait for the replacement pen, but I couldn’t get the tablet to work at all, I re-installed it with the drivers from the web, service-restart, nothing, the drawing above is what i could get out of it.

Does this mean I have to take a break from drawing for a while? At least until the pen arrives.

This means I’ll be pushing my commission queue further a couple of weeks, sorry for the inconvenience.

Good time to practice your carpal-tunnel exercises.

... or push a pencil on dead trees, like some kind of caveman.

I like being some kind of caveman, tyvm. I do a lot of my writing 20+ miles from power lines, so...

Shit happens sometimes, you can't worry about it. We'll wait for you to get what you need to get back on your feet, art wise. Relax and take it easy for a bit. Kay?

Sucks about your pen,but about your other tablet,I had similar pressure issues with Cintiq after I swapped from an Intuos because I still had the its drivers installed.so you might want to uninstall your other tablet drivers then do a clean install of the Art drivers if you haven't.

Hope you can get it working.

Just to be sure: You googled your problems and read up about other people having the same, yes?

that is a bummer....i would say you might want to get softer floors? or just pad the area where you draw with that rubber... I hope you get the replacement soon and if it's not the pen then I would still keep the replacement just in case the original does break.

I'm almost to the point of having to get a new pen for my tablet and I'm worried as hell about it.

Hope you get it quickly, though. Or I guess quicker than they say, maybe.

Yeah I should have bought a replacement one when it was already feeling a little faulty >:

Eh, as they say, hindsight is always 20/20. It happens, nothing to beat yourself up about or anything. ♫

I know that feeling my intuos 3 pen eraser tip is stuck on fully activation all the time now because the Fero tube that detects the pressure snapped about a fifth of the way along and even when I tried fixing it it still don't work even though it work outside of the pen which is quite a bummer
