David used to be a farm boy with a bit of a mean streak, always on edge to pick a fight with anyone that got on his nerves. Some misinterpreted this behaviour as him being little more than a dumb bruiser, but he could prove to be a bit of a smartass as well. At the begining of the 4th Space War David joined the Earth military and fought on the frontlines of planetary defenses. Under unspecified circumstances David went MIA, but ultimately found his way back home a changed man. He never talks about what he did as a soldier, but always insists it's something future generations should learn to avoid. To this end, despite his disability, he became a high school history teacher, hoping that if he could make younger generations understand the mistakes of the past that they could avoid creating more pointless wars in the future. Though he realizes it's a pipe dream, he carries on hoping one day at least one of his students takes his lessons to heart. Apart from all that he apparently has some good blade skills, despite only having one arm and eye. He's also been known to 'occasionaly' date fellow teacher Suzan Annette.
Semi-futuristic Earth where space colonies have been at war among themselves for over a century. Earth's government is suppressed by the Space Nation, preventing them from intervening in the wars.
