And old picture I only finished now. I have nothing better to do but draw, or more, I can only draw when I'm discontented. I'm not sure why, my creativity floods to me when I'm frustrated, and I fall in a slump when I'm happy. Maybe it's related to the old truth that happy people don't change the world, same as content people don't create new things, since actions stem from the need to solve problems, though I'm not sure how this relates to my situation.
Anyway, the blue fox isn't mine. He's supposed to have five tails, but in this picture he bunched them together to make it easier to move.
This was originally a lineart concept for a comic series drawn in Illustrator. I decided to ink it with fancy lineart when I got bored a few months ago and then when I couldn't figure out an effective coloring method in Illustrator, I colored and shaded it in Paint Shop Pro 8. I tried fancy blending, but it didn't look right with the type of lineart, so I just used cell shading. Maybe I should go back and give the impression of a fur texture...
I might go back and try doing that comic series again. I had some pretty neat ideas for it, I just couldn't find the time or the patience.
