The other day I was touching up Cherise's image and realized "I can't ink on an iPad". This isn't due to the lack of a line tool, but simply due to the fact that the iPad resolution and DPI are two low to allow high detail lines on such a small screen. So although I can draw a 1024x768 132 PPI image when I try to ink it with thicker lines I run out of room or the image becomes inflated terribly.
So while hunting for a tutorial thinking that perhaps someone had found a way to emulate inking on the iPad (no luck) I saw a guy inking on what looked like a very big monitor. I came to discover this is a Cintiq 21UX.
Two thoughts: "WANT!" and "I can do that!"
So I have a plan; save monies for a Cintiq 21UX for my own personal use and glory. At this time I'm not asking for donations nor am I going to do commissions as my art is still in the primordial stage and there's a lot better artists out there who need the commissions more than I do, but I had to share.
For those drooling over similar tools, items, or widgets in their life I would like to share my money saving secret: Every time you have the urge to buy something you don't absolutely NEED or when you think "I could pay a little more for that." stop yourself, take that money, and dump it into a super secret savings account. It'll build up faster than you think.
In my case that means lots of dollar burgers and drip coffee..... mmmmm... yeah. It'll be SO worth it!
