Share a Song Friday #1

So I'm going to attempt to do one of these each Friday!

Basically, with each one of these, I will share a new song I am enjoying at the moment with all of my followers. You may love it, like it, or hate it. But I think that's the fun of it!

Also, let me know what you think of the song I share!

ONE MORE THING. Feel free to share one song that you're enjoying right now.

Today's song is:

DIAMOND SKY BY ELLIOT BERGER & LAURA BREHM

have you heard "Demons" by Imagine Dragons yet? i've been talking about it for almost a year now, and it's finally catching on.

not to mention how relevant the band's name is to my interests X3

I have actually! I really enjoyed "Radioactive" by them, but I enjoyed "Demons" a lot more. :)

I guess I just don't have an ear for most electronic music. Twenty years ago I was in to Orbital and Lords of Acid, but I missed the boat somewhere. I'm somewhat allergic to autotune.
Anyway, this track has kept be coming back lately. "Salvador Sanchez" by Sun Kil Moon. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_4lFWg-9HhM

That's okay! It's not for everyone, but I wanted to share it anyways in case someone does like it. I'm hoping this spreads more so I can get more feedback and songs!
As for your song, I like the music itself, but I'm kinda iffy on the vocals.

Yeah, that vocal is a little weak. Btw, I picked that track up from Teko. Blame him! ;)

Here's an electronic track I do dig, appropriately titled for a furry board. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aF_3bPipN8Q "Wildcat" by Ratatat.

Don't fret. Orbital and Lords of Acid are still going strong. Not to mention countless other underground electronic bands that don't have to fall to the crutch of autotune nor mainstream trends. Here is LOA: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JfJ4voAt690

And there's always VNV Nation- the one band that I remember hearing from a 50+ year old friend saying that these guys are keeping the spirit of true rock 'n' roll alive in that true rock 'n' roll was never about the instruments but the attitude and showmanship. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1qEbsG2AlNk

I'd will take the word of a person who has seen more live acts about what good music is than some dumb youngster.

In other words, don't despair, there's plenty of worthwhile electronic music being produced these days, but you have to search for it and 99% of the time furries are the last group that would know good tunes- an undeniable fact.

Check out the free compilation releases from the Synthmatik label for good electronic tunes: http://www.synthmatik.com/ (it's down as I type this so hopefully it'll be up).

In short, no, not everything electronic these days is retarded dubstep and/or bland crap with autotune vocals.

Want undeniable proof? I present you this UK duo and one of their most beautiful tracks done ever: http://vimeo.com/musicstore/track/116596/tempered-wing...

Hey, thanks for taking the time to list these suggestions! The VNV Nation track is pretty cool, and they certainly know about showmanship.
The female vocalist on "Tempered Wings" is fantastic. In the Nursery could totally do the next Bond theme.
However, I do have to do have to take issue with your reply to FoxieBear.
" Listen to this... ....and be enlightened. If you disagree that this is superior then you obviously have no ear for true musical talent. That is an undeniable truth."
Take a moment to think about how that sounds. Now go apologize.

Oh and just for the sake of clarification- this is coming from someone who knew and enjoyed the *true* electronic music pioneers

such as Tangerine Dream: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2w8VsvJ40sM

Klaus Schulze: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ksgjsq6zwb0

and of course the almighty Kraftwerk: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x-G28iyPtz0

Song is utter crap. Autotuned vocals = immediate fail. Not to mention the reliance on a bad trend like dubstep for it's beats. Listen to this http://vimeo.com/musicstore/track/116596/tempered-wing... and be enlightened. If you disagree that this is superior then you obviously have no ear for true musical talent. That is an undeniable truth.

That link doesn't seem to be working.

So if I disagree with your choice of "enlightenment", then I have no ear for musical talent. Hmm. I think I can live with that. Honestly, I thought that link you gave was a boring mess. That's my opinion. You obviously like it for some reason and that's fine. I don't, and that's fine too.

But back to the topic at hand, it's completely unfair of you to think that because I linked a song that wasn't to your liking, and that I don't like a song that you like, that I must have no ear for musical talent. That's a very bold statement.

It's like if I linked you this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wLzEgrHKxNM and told you that if you don't find it to be the true musical statement of the century, that you're an idiot.

I kinda dig the song!

Here's one sorta along the same lines that I've been listening to -- the title song to Oblivion by M83:
