Oh, amusing.

Found out some little shits rampaging around the area were considering vandalizing my house or breaking in, because I've stood up for a local kid before. They threatened to do this, then assaulted that kid (on his birthday too).

Apparently they only didn't do it, ironically, because I wasn't there - as if I wouldn't come after them with a bat.

I really can't believe this area sometimes. Unfortunately for them, I know these little shits, and I can target their parents in civil court if need be. I don't need to wait for the dumbshit cops to do their job (which they never do). Not to mention any child protection bombshells I'm thinking of dropping on one family in particular. Here's a hint, stop punching your kid in the face and he might be less of a delinquent dribble of latch-on, bruised-ego snake shit.

I'm an inch from kicking up a major stink - the government has no business giving worthless cunts a house in a good area, so these freeloaders' kids can run riot, and then doing nothing when they harm the neighborhood.

On another note, I have a new chair and it is awesome.

Well, something will happen. Unless you are very lucky, you will have no idea when it will. The price for waiting for it to happens is usually too great to justify waiting.

Grats with the chair, though!

I know. It basically means that I have to wait until they do something directly to ME before I can do much. Thinking of contacting the parents though - they should know their kids are about one decision away from me suing them out of a house.

I hate to say it, but if the police and government won't do shit all, threatening the parents with civil action might be the final option.

Also, you have NO clue. It came down to THIS chair or a $425 chair on special for $300, and this chair won my heart. Just such a damn comfy, plush little... zzzzz~

Seriously, I need to get me a proper desk/chair combo one of these days. Current desk and chair kinda suck :P

Or, maybe it's the cushion that made everything you sat on feel comfortable?

Wtf. Is this the same kid that got yelled at at the store?

He's one of the attackers. Kid's spineless, he tries to fit in with his scumbag "friends." He can't decide what he wants to be.

sounds like if he doesn't know already, or if he knows but thinks someone won't do anything, he needs a kick to the throat lol to push him in the right direction of thinking.  Divine intervention of parents yelling at him for making them spend their precious money in something as trival as a civil court, just might push him to rethink who he is hanging out with.

His parent(s) beats him, he's in such a situation because he has no home life. I know what's going on with him; he only behaves like this when with certain shitheads, trying to fit in with them. Otherwise, he's okay but clearly nervous and has a bruised ego.

If I have to, I'll do what I need to do to get his parents involved - I just don't want them "involved" in hitting him some more. That won't work. But we'll see.

It is. Classic case of a kid caught up with shitty peers.

the way you describe this kid, you see the potential in him but it's being dwindled away due to his home life and his peers.  It also sounds like he just needs a moral friend or a good roll model as well, and what type of chair has relaxed you to the point of falling asleep?

That's essentially it. The kid is definitely conflicted too. One minute he'll attack another boy, the next he's trying to be friendly with them.
I'd love to help him, but I don't think I can. It's a very complex situation, and he already has role-models. The bad kind. I'm waiting for a chance to talk to him again.

Oh, and it's a plush, fabric cushioned chair. It's basically soft and plush enough to curl up and sleep on, especially when it reclines! Cushioned armrests too! :D
