Dilemma about my MLP character

So, I've been thinking pretty seriously about redesigning my MLPsona to be either writing-oriented or specifically to have her be a movie/book-reviewer. If I did the latter, I think I've settled on either "Hooves Up" or "Two Hooves" (an allusion to "two thumbs up" since I prefer writing positive reviews even though I write plenty of negative ones). It really makes sense to do so, because I spend the vast majority of my time either writing stories or consuming media (especially books/movies) and writing reviews about them.

The main reason I'd like to do this, aside from the simple fact that it would make sense to have my MLP persona be writing-oriented since it's what I spend most of my time doing, is that I was thinking of doing a tumblr where I do "in character" reviews of thing. Either ponified versions of real things (like, I could complain about 50 Shades and call it "50 Shades Bridled," or something) or "in universe" just for fun reviews (so far I think we just have Daring Do, or I could make up other stuff).

And yet, I find myself extremely reluctant to give up my Tornado Hugger persona. She's very distinctive/unique, and the overall tone of the character feels very "me" even though it would make a lot more sense to have a writing-oriented persona.

(I know the automatic clever response here is "just have two MLP personas!" but I'd really like to just have one.)

Do they both have to be personas? could not one be just an OC and the other a persona? Or just fuze them like DBZ fighters

Like I said, I'd rather just have one OC x3

And fusing them doesn't really work, because like... for MLP characters on the show it seems like talent = cutie mark = identity.

For what it's worth, the names are adorable-awesome.

It does make more sense to use a talent you actually have or really relate to. Also, the reviewing things in-character sounds...amusing. (Where do you post reviews of things, anyhow? Tumblr?) Buuuut I know what ya mean. Changing 'sonas is hard...

Anyhow, a ponies' cutie mark doesn't seem to ENTIRELY encompass their identity. Twilight adores all forms of studying, not just about magic. Fluttershy is (apparently) very knowledgeable about sewing/fabrics. There's that episode that reveals Rainbow is quite the prankster. Ponies seem to have plenty of other hobbies, interests and skills, their cutie mark is just what they're 'best' at. Latent talent, destiny and all that. I think some degree of melding the old sona into the new one would be possible.

Yeah, I think I've more or less decided to stick with Tornado Hugger and have her just do a lot of writing. A good friend of mine pointed out that rogue tornadoes probably don't happen all that often, so her primary skill wouldn't be necessary very often xD
