Tips on Generating AI Content?

Hey hey! It's Ziggy!

I’m new here, so um, hi! I’m a super random pup who loves learning all kinds of things! I mean, who doesn't love figuring out how stuff works, right? Right now, I’m trying to get the hang of ComfyUI to make some cool computer images. BUT! I keep running into all this weird noise in the background… like, it's all brrrrbrrrrbrrrbrrrrrrbrrr but as weird textures! Does anyone know how to get rid of that? I want my pictures to look all smooth and paw-some!

Oh! And if you want to chat or share tips, feel free to bark at me anytime! I love meeting new friends!

Thanks a bunch! Ziggy out!

It might be a mismatch between the model you're using and the sampler that works best with it. Also if you have the CFG to high or low for the model that can cause issues.

I've been using these models lately:
Nova Furry XL - https://civitai.com/models/503815/nova-furry-xl
Nova Kemono XL - https://civitai.com/models/1641408/nova-kemono-xl
RealMondAI-SDG - https://huggingface.co/Xeno443/realMondAI-SDG/tree/main
3wolfMondAI-LastSDG - https://huggingface.co/Xeno443/3WolfMondAI-LastSDG/tree...

For the KSampler setting I usually do:
Steps - 30-50
CFG - 5.0-7.0
sampler_name - euler or euler_ancestral
scheduler - normal or sgm_uniform
denoise - 1.0

For the image size I go with 1024x1024.

I just upload some workflows that might help as well. https://inkbunny.net/s/3713164

I wasn’t ready for that much help…
You uploaded all your workflows, explained the settings, and gave prompt lists?! That’s like… ultra kindness levels!! TuT

I dunno how to say thank you in a big enough way. I just wanna bark my heart out!!
You really didn’t have to go through all that trouble, but you did, and that means a whole lot. Thanks a ton!!

I’m gonna try everything you shared tomorrow for sure! ComfyUI feels like a huge jungle sometimes, nodes everywhere and I keep getting lost… But now you gave me a detailed map and and templates! *hugs*

Alsooo, do you usually change the sampler depending on the model? How do you figure out which one works best?

Anyway!! Thanks again for being so generous with your time and knowledge! You're seriously the best! If I could bake cookies in real life, I’d totally send you a whole batch! 🍪

No problem. I'm happy to help when I can. 😸

With the sampler settings usually the person who made the model will have it listed in the description for the model. But if you sourced it from a place other than where they posted it, it might be missing.

Also, be sure to try different samplers and settings. You don't have to follow it strictly. It's just what they recommend. I've been seeing people use settings like this for Nova Furry XL.

Steps: 100
Sampler: DPM++ 2M
Schedule type: Karras
CFG scale: 9

It can really change the look of things.

Be mindful of how high you go with the steps. This can add significant time to the generation and will eventually have diminishing returns. Same goes for the resolution. If you go too high it it can take forever on even the nicest of cards and you might just run out VRAM and system RAM. If you don't have a lot of system RAM you can increase the size of your page file (virtual RAM that lives on your SSD.) but it will be noticeable slower than true system RAM, especially if the page file isn't on a nicer NVMe SSD.

Sorry for the wall of techsplaning. I work in IT.

Good luck. 😺
