So, i'm gonna TLDR this.
Video went black. Wouldn't come back. Rebooting, clearing CMOS, etc. no good.
Got new video card. Worked okay at first.
Turned PC off, then later on, and it wouldn't boot. Fans and lights, no post. Several retries, it came on.
Same problem again later, but went away.
Then PC crashes mid-YouTube (Freeze). No event log entries. PC won't power on again. Rebooting and toggling and such doesn't help this time.
Removed new video card and used on-board. Seems to work fine. Can't game, tho.
Took everything apart, cleaned, and reconnected. Using old video card. Doesn't work.
Put in new video card. Works now. Wuht?
Ran burn-in test at 506 watts (the maximum the system could achieve) on 650 watt PSU for 8 1/2 hours. Testing Video Codecs, Video 3D, video 2D, CPU, RAM, Network, Optical Drives, Hard Drives, and Sound. All nonstop, trying to force a failure. Nothing failed, no errors, passed with flying colors.
(Notes: I am a certified computer tech. I know what i'm doing! Stand back anyway, tho. Just in case.)
