Hello everyone. I've really been impressed as to how detailed AI art has become and feel like it's a love-hate feeling with me. On one paw, I can clearly see that some take the time to generate amazing images, and painstakingly enhance them using their own skills. This artistic talent in and of its own. I compare it to how things evolved in the movie making era of the 80's to the present. In the past, movie sets, creatures, and effects were painstakingly created by hand and in may instances this took many hours and left them with one shot to get it right. As time went on, CGI, green screen and computer effects took over. Now for me, I feel like although this was so much "easier", it felt like cheating and took away the old art form of set building where artists used creative ways to achieve an effect. This also diminished 2D animating which left animators in that field high and dry. Despite this, I began to realize how much talent and effort went into that 'new' process as well. I guess my point is that I can appreciate BOTH forms of creativity and art and I do think AI art has a place. I think that it's easy to forget that AI generation is only as good as the data it has access to. So as the lowly horny art enjoyer, I feel as if AI art generation can be good and it clearly presses all my buttons in a good way. I do feel like AI images will saturate the arena so to speak. To much of something can become boring, less effective and undesired over time. I worry that artists will become frustrated and under appreciated in the future which will lead to less creativity in the world. What helps me is that I appreciate traditional art differently then I do AI art. Both have a place for me to enjoy in different ways with different levels of appreciation.. So what's your views on AI?
