The real reason why artists hate AI.

by
It is simple and unique - greed.

If you thought, like me once, that artists are our brothers, then you are wrong. Most of them are in our fandom only for the money. They do not share our love and feelings for cute fluffies. Perhaps, some of them were sincere at one time, but then money ate their souls. Well, the most disgusting thing is that some were never furries at all, but came because they heard that you can easily and a lot of money here; they despise us and even hate us, but tolerate us because they make money on us; there are especially many of them in Latin America and Russia.

AI, appearing like a deus ex machina, highlighted their parasitic essence. They writhed in convulsions, like a vampire at the sight of a holy crucifix. A true furry would be happy with all his heart that his brothers and sisters, who have no talent and money, can fulfill their dreams of their favorite characters. Whereas a pseudo-artist sees AI as a threat to his enrichment and power. "How is that possible?! The plebs no longer need our mediation?! How dare they?!" It's like a feudal lord's indignation that the serfs have gained freedom, and he is no longer the master of destinies.

As one of my good friends, a natural-born artist, said. "It makes me angry that they started calling just anyone an artist. A person who draws only for money cannot be called an artist. Just like someone who is worried about the emergence of AI. A real artist draws because he cannot help but draw; he will be creative regardless of any obstacles or anyone. A real artist falls asleep with a pencil/stylus in his hand."

You can't be born an artist... It takes lots of practice, education, and determination.

Artists still make hundreds of dollars off art. AI won't replace them. Hell, I still commission artists regularly.

But you are kind of demonizing them quite a lot. Artists can be greedy but furry artists as a whole? No.

Most likely, you are a rare lucky person who managed not to encounter the seamy side of artists. Because even those people who can to place orders face stunning rudeness from artists. I'm not even talking about cases of fraud, when even influential and reputable people disappeared, having collected impressive sums and leaving customers with nothing.

If they behave like this even towards a solvent audience, then with poor people like me they do not hold back at all. "I don't care about your dream if you have no money!" "I only draw to earn money!" "Your dream is crap" Their answers are shocking in their cynicism. I will not indicate the nicknames of those from whom I received such a reaction. Not because I do not want to raise a scandal, but because this is prohibited by the rules here. I will note that my dreams were not some kind of complex and with an OC. They were the most free in interpretation and simple ideas; for example: "Kitten Gav (a character from the cartoon Kitten Named Woof) and Niko (a character from the game OneShot) are having sex."

Artists are born. They feel a craving for drawing from childhood and have the ability for it. Of course, this does not mean that everything comes to them at once and without effort. Talent is an uncut diamond. And it takes a lot of work to polish it. But if a talented person, working, sees and feels the progress of his efforts, then a person without talent, showing exactly the same diligence, and sometimes even more, is marking time at the starting point. People, unfortunately, are not equal.

Do not be afraid to ask me tricky questions and do not limit yourself to self-censorship. I am not one of those who throws a tantrum, insults, deletes and blacklists when he hears things that are inconvenient for him and even insults. I am, as they say in my country, a "seasoned sparrow". I have long built up a thick psychological armor.

You’re nothing but a thief, and that’s all you’ll ever be.

Who and what did I steal? I just share images of my favorite characters, making myself and others happy.

Whereas you protect the privileged class, denying everyone else the right to dream and see their dreams come true. People like you have turned the furry community into a club for the rich, leaving everyone else outside the fence. You don't love furries, you love money. We are on different levels.
