Me and a few friends tried to find out how big Death Star II and Endor (the forest moon) are. We used both old and new sources. These sources – unfortunately – seem to massively disagree with regards to the size of both Endor as well as the DS2. Most pre-Disney sources - which I was able to find - state that the Death Star II is 900 kilometers to 1800 miles in diameter (which is huge) and Disney sources state that the DS2 is 160 kilometers in diameter (which seems identical with the first Death Star’s size of 160 kilometers).
Sequences from the movie show the damaged Super Star Destroyer “Executor” crash into the DS2. We neither see an earthquake erupting the DS2 nor do we see a horizontal curvature. There are different sources, some claim that the “Executor” is 8 kilometers long, while others state that its size must have been at least 19 kilometers. Both sizes are massive, but they don’t matter this much: the absence of the curvature of the DS2 seems to imply that the station must be much larger than mere 160 kilometers (otherwise we would see the curvature very well in the background).
We used several different methods to measure the DS2’s overall size: Darth Vader’s shuttle is a “Lambda-class T-4a shuttle” which is 22.65 meters tall (my old dictionary states that it is 23 meters tall, but who cares, the numbers are similar enough). We calculated that Vader’s hangar is three times the size of the shuttle (based on that scene where Luke flies the shuttle out of the hangar to escape from the DS2’s explosion), thus making it around 67.95-70 meters tall. From this we were able to calculate the height of the equatorial trench, it’s about 30 times the size of Vader’s hangar, thus making it 2038-2100 meters tall. From this we calculated the overall size of the DS2 based on the height of the trench. We measured a diameter of around 800 kilometers for the station, which seems more in line with the old 900 kilometer number than Disney’s 160 kilometers.
We also tried to calculate Endor’s size based on both the rebel alliance’s holograms as well as the actual DS2 in Orbit (we used the curvature of Endor and the distance which the hologram implies). A 160 kilometer Death Star would mean that Endor would be around 2560 kilometers in diameter, which is ridiculously small (our own Moon is 3,475 kilometers in diameter). A 900 kilometer Death Star II would indicate a size of Endor of about 14,400 kilometers, which would be more similar to Earth’s 12,756 kilometers.
I did a little research and found out that Curtis Saxton from "Theforce.net" also tried to measure the Death Star II’s size and he came to similar conclusions!
You are on the mark by Wookieepedia. "Upon completion, the DS-2 Death Star[1] would have been an immense battle station 200 kilometers in diameter[16] that featured 560 internal levels which could house 2,471,647 passengers and crew.[3]" https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/DS-2_Death_Star_II_Mob... The original Death Star was 160 kilometers.

well heres one for you in the The Force Awakens the planet converted into a death star was over 4 or 5 times begger the both the reg ones and having the full power of a sun just showed how a type1 civalation could be like ,, to harnes the power of a sun and to be able to destroy other planets from a grater distanc than what the smaller death stars would make the even more like a lev1and a 1/2 civalation , as you can see on this https://futurism.com/the-kardashev-scale-type-i-ii-iii-...

Right! Starkiller Base! That was basically the Death Star's logical conclusion, right? A planet which can send its superlaser through wormholes and/or hyperspace! It can devestate several worlds at once!
I think that the empire would qualify as a type 3 civilization on the Kardashev scale, right?
Same here! It's always nice to meet people who love Star Wars! 😀
May the Force with you as well!

well with the sith lords in the empire yes that would very much make the a type three do to there abilitys to control the empire and the very fabric of space and time it's self , tho they almost tip the scale at being a type 4 or 5 civilization , the sith was able to super jump hyspace in a comic and on a a show i was watching a few days ago called Ahsoka Tano a very very good show on Disney+ if you ever get to see it , but yeah i like this whole topik ,,,...

I do remember that the ancient Sith were supposedly able to destroy entire star systems with their weapons! Didn't Lord Naga Sadow eliminate an entire fleet and world by making their sun explode?
