My old Twitter is dead. I don't care for that account anymore, nor do I care for the zombie called "X" that its current owner has decided to name the empty husk of what it once was.
Threads is owned by Facebook, which is a hard No. Also it's dead on arrival anyway as a me-too app.
BlueSky... the one all the "popular" and "artist" furries are flocking to - no. They want to be first on the platform where they think the cool people will be, thinking that will translate into a big fandom profile. They are unwilling to accept the small userbase seeming packed with cool people is temporary and by accident rather than design, the staff have said in no certain terms they are fine with Nazis, minority groups will not be protected and as few humans will be involved in moderation decisions as possible. Also, run by one of the billionaires who destroyed the platform we all fled from.
Cohost - it's like Tumblr, but shouting into an empty void. Dead as a parrot already.
Fediverse / Mastodon. It's not without its faults - the sign-up process has a rather steep learning curve. However, we have a group of communities, constructed to ensure the network can't be rugpulled or enshittified by billionaires, run and moderated by people from within each group who want to do what's best for their group.
Guess where I'm at.
