Yup, but those "old christian boomers" are the ones who actually pushing the laws, while others ranting on reddit to vent their emotions. They most importantly know how to do that, and have a will to put their lifetime to it.
The problem with that is, after few recent demographic transitions that naturally following industrial revolution, urbanization, education and health care improvements, people's values as well are changed irreversibly, since like 80-s already, even in most conservative and religious countries.
And those changes are now much more sudden and faster than pre-digital times, because information are circulating hundreds times faster than then. Your skills are becoming outdated in just two-four years, if you are not improving them constantly. People who don't used to that rhythm are understandably feeling missed out in life. So they are trying to grasp on "good old times", even if it'll cost an unnecessarily troublesome future for their kids and grand kids, who will have to reverse all that damage manually anyway.

Oh btw, apparently that law is not semi-recent? I knew it was illegal in France to distribute lolicon and cub hentai for a few years, since nhentai and such websites are banned there for a long time now. Is there any hope for the future? Any appeal you could make, to get judicial precedence to it being an invalid law, or anything like that? I don't know how French courts work, and this.. Is freaking me out. I don't live in France, but I know of other cub/loli/shota artists who do, and just... I hate this...

I've come to believe that the purest form of evil is to destroy, or to prevent the existence of, something that does not itself destroy or prevent the existence of other things. This.. What they're doing by forcing you to delete art and not draw certain types of art in the future... Is literally pure evil, and I don't know what to do.

Of course, it's better for you to be able to draw art in general than to not be able to at all.. So I am extremely glad that you didn't go to jail over this... But that's not stopping me from feeling awful about the news, and angry at those laws and just... I lack words. I don't know how to describe this, so.. Hopefully I've said enough.

Get out of there fast if you can! Is it possible to flee to another country? I heard about this sort of thing in Britain and a few third world nations... my father's in France, I can't believe what a bullet I dodged when I was almost about to move there with him. Not really, as far as art goes few are crazy to arrest artists for immoral fiction in the 21th century. Yet such insanity has been able to survive for this long: Canada, Britain, Australia, now even France which was supposed to be some pillar of modern civilization. USA has so many issues and is an insane place, at least in that regard though they're among the good ones.

How can you put an age on artwork or a drawing? Drawings by an adult hurts no one. There needs to be a victim to be a crime IMO. You could just say all your characters suffer form that disease that makes them look young, but indeed they are adults. I mean it's ridiculous to even try to justify an age on artwork. I'm glad you're OK, and yest you need to play their game and be careful, as crappy as that it.

About 55% of our users are, but that's going down over time as the world gets furrier. We've had to deal with this kind of issue for a while. Ultimately such laws are designed to have a chilling effect as to enforce them against everyone would be infeasible, so anything you can do to avoid being the most obvious target helps.

I'm very sorry for what happened to you, but I'm glad the situation didn't get worse. I find it absolutely incredible and shameful that we're increasingly heading towards an abyss of "politically correct" and false respectability; censoring arts and expressions that only a few are considered "harmful" to society (and yet are able to get public opinion on their side, even with the use of distorted and false information)
Equally incredible that these attitudes come from people linked to religion (in my opinion the worst thing there's in this world), when ironically the most shameful crimes against children have been committed precisely within the ecclesiastical environment.
Even here in Italy, unfortunately, the situation is very similar, and for many artists it's becoming increasingly difficult to be able to freely express their art.

In some comments someone had mentioned the speech "Violent video games = cause of violence", and it's practically the same speech; information given to the public in a distorted way or even wrong information (and parents should also be explained that their 8-10 year old cannot play an 18+ rated game)

Having said that, I hope to see you soon at work with new works (although sadly without cub characters) 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻

To be honest some laws are plain stupid, setting fictional drawing the same line as real cp doesn't make sense for me at all but I guess even Germany the country I live in has some laws that can get u in hot water for drawing some fictional stuff. I think it's sad but I guess we have to live with this Situation

This is just them going after the low hanging fruit just so they can say their doing "something". They could be going after traffickers but all they'll collect are artists and regular people looking at/for drawings. Sorry you went through that and avoided real time. I have very little in the way of words because your story is entirely shocking and quite sad to hear. That said, I am exceedingly thrilled you were able to avoid jail time and are able to come back to a community that loves and supports you, even if you have to do so with a bit of a cautious step.

It's pretty scary where the world is headed in so many ways, but if people who experience something as potentially life destroying as this and are able to pick themselves up and carry on and stay positive, I think there is hope for all of us. You're an inspiration to us all and I do look forward to seeing your future works as things return to relative normalcy for you.

EU politics right now have a very tough problem with some old farts clenching to their sits trying to please whoever they view as their potential voters, and it's usually an "average god-fearing mom of two in her 50s" or something. It'll be a good five to ten years before younger generation will take over the initiative.
It really sucks.
