The last few weeks have been pretty rough for me. I’ve had to deal with tons of coursework, financial worries, mild psychosis, and more issues. However one thing has stuck out more than any other of the things on my mind right now – the problems of having two personalities at once.
I’ve mentioned a few times on here (and a lot of times on Facebook and Twitter) a newbie artist called Adrian Andersen ie.
. After talking, its decided the truth should be revealed. Me and him are the same person. I created Adrian as a pseudonym I used while travelling across the UK. After I had restarted my journey to be a proper artist, I decided to have DisturbedNeko as an alternate identity in order to get unbiased criticism from the community AND not be linked to him if my attempts ended in utter failure.
Just so everyone knows, I never wanted to trick anyone at all. I just created Adrian as an interim measure. In fact, quite a few of my friends know of the double identities. I apologise to any who found my duality a bit offensive to them though.
The thing now, apart from the questioning about my motives, is the following.
1) I’m not sure about an account merger. It will be in at least a week if it does happen at all. I might just create another blog to store it all. 2) I’m not giving up writing. Although I may be posting more art than stories, it doesn’t mean any literature will be delayed at all due to drawing. 3) Although I listen to the Wipeout Soundtrack while drawing, I still listen to my usual playlist of Rock and Metal music, especially while writing. Its weird, but I find the horrific thudding noises help me focus with a pencil. 4) I have no plans in the next 65,536 years to draw Ponies. I still hate them.
Anyway, a similar announcement is on DisturbedNeko’s page (https://inkbunny.net/journalview.php?id=40928), with a few more details on the technical side of my art. I’ll end with a big thanks for everyone who supported DisturbedNeko and (hopefully) will continue checking out my journey to becoming a better artist.
