commision prices 2020

by
hey guys, it's time for a change. i've been getting more commissions lately and honestly i've been somewhat unhappy with the work because my pricing scheme has left me feeling uncompensated for my work. I feel it's time for a small price increase. and maybe i'll take the time to offer pricing options for not-full-shaded pieces this time around.

so, to start with, for full color shaded work, the baseline is unchanged. $35 for a single character doing whatever. if you have overly complex designs in mind, such as feathered wings or chain mail, there's a complexity fee of $15 for a total of $50.

for each extra character in the scene, or view of the character (such as on ref sheets), another $20 is added to the cost. like the single, these costs change if the character is complex, at the same rate. so, if you wanted me to draw two chainmail bedazzled harpies it would be 35+20+15+15, for $85. similarly if i'm drawing a reference sheet of one character but it has three views, it's 35+20+20, for a cost of $75.

for things that are less than full shaded it'll work like this:
Flats: 25
Clean Linework: 15
Rough Sketch: 10; sketches are intended to be quick and dirty, and certain details will be approximated. i will not draw individual chain mail links, for example.

like my full works, these are subject to complexity costs. it's a lot of work to draw some things, and it takes a lot of time too, both of which greatly reduce my enjoyment of the work and my ability to draw more pieces.

there are things i will not draw, and things i dont want to draw, and i reserve the right to say no. you're free to ask but i will not draw what i am uncomfortable with.
