Mild stabbing; Commissions on Hold

Yesterday was a bit of a roller coaster, so I will attempt to sum it up here:

- Bastion needed some basic supplies (Chicken, milk, etc...) and it looked like a calm day, so he went out to buy some things.

- He was jumped by several people who robbed him and stuffed him into a taxi, they had apparently taken the driver hostage as well.

- They drove to several ATMs and forced Bastion to withdraw as much as he was able from each one.  This is apparently a semi-common crime called Express Kidnapping.

- Despite being cooperative, at some point the kidnappers decided they were finished with Bastion, who was in the passenger's seat, and stabbed him in the back. It was an attempt at a kidney shot, but thankfully they hit his hip bone instead.

- The driver responded by pushing Bastion out of the vehicle and speeding off, an act which probably saved his life.

- Bastion crawled along the road for about an hour before someone found him and called for help.  They doped him up and got him stapled together enough to send him home.  The hospital is out of rooms and supplies, so this was the best option available.

- Myself and our Aunt were contacted to let us know what had happened.  Bastion was still drugged up for quite some time, so if you got any incoherent messages last night, that is why.

- The police were able to arrest the people that did this, though it seems the taxi driver was killed, likely for his interference in saving Bastion's life.  They are facing serious charges, and were found with Bastion's wallet and bloody weapons.

- This morning Bastion went to a private surgeon to be opened back up and get more proper cleaning and stitching done.  I've not yet heard the outcome of this surgery, but compared to yesterday it should hopefully be mild.

UPDATE: Surgery went well, had to restitch inside and out, but the knife missed anything vital.  He's got a dent in his hip bone, but that is far better than it could have been.  He's going to hurt for ~2 weeks, but he'll make a full recovery.

So, what this means in the short term...

- I am not allowing Bastion to work on commissions until he has had at least a week to heal.  If you are a commissioner and you want more information or you require a refund, please send a PM to his account and I will handle them in short order.

- If you are a friend or frequently contact him directly, please send him some love and support.  He is in a lot of pain and this whole thing has been very scary for him.  He could use a hug!
