Wow! Get woke, go broke. Gillette goes ANTI-MALE!

WOW!

Get woke, go broke!

Gillette "MENS" PRODUCTS GO ANTI-MAN.

What the fuck is wrong with companies?!? Why do they all feel a need to get political or sexist or racist now? Especially against straight and usually white men.

The "War On Men" continues.

https://youtu.be/koPmuEyP3a0  <--Gillette ad

https://youtu.be/CCT4nYIpRSs  <-- response video, timcast

LOL

How did this fly at the board meeting? "Hey! Lets make a video for our men's products attacking men! That should make us a shit ton of money!"

Shit like this is the reason so many boys are more interested in playing videogames than getting a girlfriend.

Feminist propaganda like this is the reason men want to fuck sexdolls and robots instead of get into a relationship with an actual woman.

Shit like this is the reason guys now have to make a video contract with women before having sex to prove that they were of sound consent so the guy doesn't have to worry about being metoo'd 30 years down the road from a jilted ex-girlfriend out to get money or ruin his life for personal or political gain.

Shit like this could even be why more Bisexual guys are getting into strictly gay relationships.

When did it become sexist to compliment a woman? When did it become sexist to even talk to a woman? What the fuck is happening to our society?

How are straight men supposed to further the human species when at every turn everything from biology to breeding is now being questioned?

Apparently men are evil just because they are men and MUST BE FIXED.... Meanwhile ANYTHING women do is "strong" and "empowering" and "brave" and beyond all reproach....

Because heaven forbid someone points out the biggest bully of women is OTHER WOMEN!

I'd love to see if this company could get away with an ad like this attacking "Toxic Femininity".

Good god! I just wanted to shave my face and balls! Whelp, time to find a new shaving company that isn't trying to make some stupid political statement attacking their consumer base. I hear CostCo has some good razors at HALF the price Gillette overpriced shit is, and I'd be able to shave my nuts without having to be part of some stupid politics.

Yeah, it is blowing up on youtube right now.

Should be hilarious to see what happens to P&G stock prices in the next few weeks.

I must say, I never expected Ben & Jerries to enter the fold. Do we know how their stock fared for it?

Here's the problem. Many of these companies exist in highly dense urban areas that are populated by liberals, primarily, that rely on government to provide them with the necessities of life: water, electricity, etc. And because they are surrounded by these liberals, they think, mistakenly, that most of the country is liberal. Thus, going out and doing this stuff they think is in the best interest of their company.

You'd think they would learn the lessons of Chick-fil-A, Starbucks, Delta Air Lines, Dick's Sporting Goods, etc. Making themselves political in any way brings a lot of bad blood. And doing so to the left actually reduces their revenue.

Go with Harry's. Just as good, and a lot cheaper.

I found some super cheap Kirkland razors from costco that give me an even smoother shave with 3 blades than the overpriced Gillette 20blade shit. They also don't go dull as quickly as the Gillette stuff does, so half the price and twice the life is pretty damn good.

Urban areas ARE most of the country. Philadelphia alone has more people than Alaska and Wyoming put together
MaxDeGroot
5 years, 3 months ago
No, urban areas are most of the population, not most of the country.
DiogenesShandor

I mean, if you want to get really super technical than most of the country, by volume, is unoccupied airspace with nobody in it, whether urban or rural or otherwise. (Like the buildings only go up to about the 104th floor, whereas American airspace goes up about 5900 stories)

In terms of the American people however, whom the government is meant to represent, the country is mostly urban.
AxleFurret
5 years, 3 months ago
Still wrong.

Guess who feeds those urban centers?

Guess what has happened in other countries where the cities make the laws for the rural areas...

France is having a bit of an issue with this right now with their yellow vest protests where cities with people that didn't drive cars voted to raise gas taxes affecting the people that do drive out in rural areas or that commute long distance to work. It is easy for people that don't drive to say "Oh! I don't drive so I don't care if they raise taxes on drivers".

America is specifically a "Representative Democratic Republic" to protect against this "tyranny of the majority".

In a democratic republic they would look at how laws made in the rural areas would affect the city, and how the laws made in the city would affect the rural areas and try to find either some middle ground, exemptions, or changes that could be made to be fair to both.

America is set up to be democratic, but not at the expense of crushing the minorities, thus the republic part.

Regarding that first part about rural and urban areas not telling each other what to do and getting up in each other's business, what about all the Republicans going on about street crime and terrorism? Those things are not their problem. If ISIS wants to blow up 1000 people in rural Alaska they're going to have to build 300 different bombs and spend all week driving them around to different places. No they're gonna target the cities instead, and yet the red states seem significantly more concerned

LOL Do you honestly think that only right wingers live in rural areas or that only left wingers live in urban areas? Or that left wingers don't end up in right wing places, or right wingers never go to left wing places.

Good gawd.
DiogenesShandor
5 years, 3 months ago
No, but I know that the right is much more prevalent in rural areas and that the left is much more prevalent in urban areas
MaxDeGroot

What is truly ironic, is the left believes there is a war on women. Yet, I don't see any psychologists claiming that toxic femininity exists, or that women have to behave more like men. No, they continue to act oppressed, and wear red robes and white hats as if they were enslaved.

This isn't a left-right issue, this is an authoritarian issue. Hell, growing up, though granted it might just have been in my area, this kind of thing seemed to come more from the right. 10 years later, I bet it'll shift again, but it's authoritarian either way.
AxleFurret
5 years, 3 months ago
The left, specifically, are the ones going hard line authoritarian/totalitarian with their identitarian beliefs.

They will literally do anything for their "tribe" if it means it is the opposite of those on the right "tribe"... SO mush so that people I have known for years as staunch anti-war are now becoming pro warmonger because "Orange Man" wants to pull out of parts of the middle east...

People that were pro jew/Israel on the left are now pro-muslim and anti-israel because "Orange Man Bad!"... Consequently, these are the same people that are apt to call anyone they disagree with a "nazi".

From what I have seen, and Tim Pool points this out on his channel a lot, is how the right has actually stayed pretty consistant, while the left has gone extreme left, now making even the moderate left look right wing.

I'm a leftist on most issues, and I have no problem with calling out SJW culture, but I only hear people say "the left" when talking about them. Your perspective might reflect these generalizations, mine does not. Perhaps we're both seeing more of what opposes our beliefs, but mine lends to the generalization that the right consists of traditionalists who don't want to see change, such as allowing homosexuals to get married, ending the drug war, that sort of thing. This is changing, or course. The more reasonable voices on the right have won out in that regard, and I believe the more reasonable voices on the left will win out too. It's already happening. There aren't a small number of leftists here on Inkbunny who reject SJW culture telling us what fiction we can and can't enjoy. When you say "the left" is the problem, you lump the independent thinkers in with the SJW crowd, and that's just as divisive as dismissing someone's opinion because they happen to be a white man.
DiogenesShandor
5 years, 3 months ago
I agree. Furthermore, I think the left needs to find some way to oust the SJW crowd from its narrative. They're a significant liability. Likely our side's largest liability.

I honestly think they're the main reason why we lost the election. It wasn't because of Russian meddling or the various conspiracy theories surrounding Hillary Clinton, although those certainly played a part. And it definitely wasn't because Trump had anything valuable to offer, because he didn't. No, it was because the Social Justice Warriors had so thoroughly alienated the American people from the left that 48% of them would rather have the Whitehouse occupied by a good-for-nothing who seems to be a Russian spy than by someone on the same side as the SJW crowd.

EDIT:
Actually, now that I think of it, the electoral college was the main reason we loat the election, although social justice warriors were a close second
MystBunny

We lost the election as soon as the primaries were over. A corporate Democrat like Hillary cannot win against Trump. She has no principles. She simply believed it was her time and that she was entitled to it. Hell, she even propped up Trump to help him win the Republican primaries because she believed he would be easier to defeat. I think the SJWs were barely a factor.
DiogenesShandor
5 years, 3 months ago
But Trump is also an unprincipled self-entitled corporate douchebag. Why would they refuse to vote for Hillary because she's a self-entitled corporate douchebag and then go vote for Donald Trump instead?
MystBunny
5 years, 3 months ago
Because Trump is a better campaigner. He is better at getting his base riled up and out to vote than Hillary will ever be. He'll do it again in 2020 if another corporate dem gets the nomination. They simply refuse to learn from their losses.
AxleFurret
5 years, 3 months ago
Hillary was a panderer and pretender. She used focus groups and "marketing" ploys to "act" what the marketing people thought was "relatable" based on stereotypes in different areas.

There are entire video compilations of how she would change her speech patterns or pretend she knows something about local culture and end up coming off as super fake and wooden. She is infamous for pretending to like "grits" in southern states and "cheese" in northwestern states, while speaking in stereotypical accents of those areas. Mitt Romney used similar tactics on the republican side and was almost universally hated because he came off as "fake" like Hillary did.

Trump was Trump no matter where he went... Bernie Sanders was also Bernie Sanders wherever he went. So the left loved Bernie and the Right loved Trump because they were BOTH "anti-establishment".

As for corporate douchebag, that usually applies to people that are in the pockets of big corporations, like Hillary was... Trump on the other hand was pissing off major corporations, especially any company that outsourced its work or built and bought from China.

The electoral college is there to prevent the "tyranny of the majority".

They are one of the main reasons that the USA is a "representative democratic republic".
DiogenesShandor
5 years, 3 months ago
Ok a couple of things here. "Representative" just means we use representatives and "republic" just means that the executive and legislative branches are seperate (alternately "republic" can also mean the same thing as "representative democracy). Neither of those things cancels out democracy.

And democracy, btw, means majority rule. If you oppose following the will of the majority than you oppose democracy
AxleFurret

You might want to read a history or civics book of some sort... Perhaps even a dictionary.
DiogenesShandor

You mean the left is catching up to the right with their hard line authoritarian beliefs. The right has always been a haven for religious fundamentalists, corporate crooks, confederate/antiabolitionist sympathizers, and fascist/nazi sympathizers. It's only very recently, in the past decade or so, that the left has become authoritarian as well.
AxleFurret
5 years, 3 months ago
Yeah the left has gone all cultural Marxist even into what used to be moderate and middle-left circles, even embracing socialism/communism, and is one of the main reasons I will likely never be voting left wing again... I just cannot vote for people that want to police speech, make thought a crime, tax the hell out of everyone, treat criminals better than law abiding citizens, and even remove or limit the rights of said law abiding citizens to defend themselves from said criminals... As these are all the things authoritarians do before taking over complete power.

Though the right has largely softened up socially ever since the gay marriage ruling as the right-wing-nuts moved on to other things to hate. It makes me think I woke up in some Bizarro world at some point where the sides flipped.
DiogenesShandor
5 years, 3 months ago
So you're not voting Republican either, right? Because they're in bed with the religious right, who also want to police speech and make thought a crime. And the rest of the republicans are corporate shills who want to cheat you out of your money and take away your ability to defend yourself from the crooks cheating you
AxleFurret
5 years, 3 months ago
I haven't voted for a republican or democrat in years and I have never voted for extremes of either side in the past either. As far as I'm concerned, BOTH sides are corrupt lying assholes and are cut of different sides of the same cloth or horseshoe.

The far left AND the far right BOTH love WAR, Big Business, and oppression of anyone and anything that doesn't line up with their morals/values/agenda.

The extremes of the left AND the right both end in authoritarianism/totalitarianism, and I want no part of that bullshit.

People always seem to blame either the jews or the muslims for the israel-palestine conflict. Personally I blame the British. While I understand why they didn't want to hang on to that particular piece of territory, it's obviously a liability, the fact of the matter is that by not hanging onto it they allowed it to fall into conflict
AxleFurret
5 years, 3 months ago
I don't see why Britain should meddle in the affairs of other people or countries just like America shouldn't be the police of the world or in the nation building business.

The Israel-palestine conflict is exactly that, a conflict between two clashing tribes. People and countries should ultimately be responsible for their own bullshit.
DiogenesShandor
5 years, 3 months ago
It wouldn't have been meddling in the affairs of other countries because up until the late 1940's Israel and Palestine were both part of the UK, and all of this while simmering, had a lid on it until they stopped being part of the UK

Saying "woah" is clearly harassment, you monster =P That poor woman is going to hear that word in her nightmares from now on. Good on his buddy for stopping him from saying "woah" a third time. I shudder to think of the emotional scarring that would cause.

I saw this news from The Quartering, it's some good stuff with how out of touch the entire marketing part of the company is. We are barely half-way through the month and already so many incidents have happened to really ring in the new year with cringe and rage.

LOL What about the 58 other genders? Is it still toxic to be a womxyn or zir with a penis?
Jimbear

Bwahahahaha!!! 🤣 You mean all the play pretend genders?  So, few other things of yours I wanted to reply to...

"Shit like this is the reason so many boys are more interested in playing videogames than getting a girlfriend.

Feminist propaganda like this is the reason men want to fuck sexdolls and robots instead of get into a relationship with an actual woman.

Shit like this could even be why more Bisexual guys are getting into strictly gay relationships."

If you think straight guys have it bad playing vidgames instead of playing with vag, it's worse for single gays like me who actually have a brain.  The dating pool for me is limited enough as it is without adding social justice in the mix (which you are A LOT more likely to encounter in the LGBT community than elsewhere).  I guess that's why I'm more interested in improving my art, smoking my cigarettes, and playing with my "toys" rather than ending up drunk and tapping the booty of a limp-wristed incel whose idea of foreplay is talking sjw politics.  HELL no!

"I just wanted to shave my face and balls!"

You tease. ;)

"Whelp, time to find a new shaving company that isn't trying to make some stupid political statement attacking their consumer base."

All hail Norelco, haha.  Dollar Shave Club is also pretty legit.  Not sure how quality the CostCo razors will be.

Thing is, there ARE creeps out there who sexually harass women, which is why the Me Too movement started with good intentions before the man-shamers commandeered it.  Now the Me Too movement has become a fucking joke, and women are STILL sexually harassed, no matter what clothes they wear, no matter how loud the SJWs scream and try to shame men.

Oh yeah, don't forget that men can also be sexually harassed by both genders and raped as well (ever heard of prison rape?), and if a woman is the one who rapes a guy, society is like "Haha, you got 'raped'?  Please.  She was hot.  Are you sure you were raped?" 🙄

"What the fuck is happening to our society?"

Going down the shitter thanks to Millenials.  Just pray we don't get a socialist for our next president, or we'll end up with a "social credit system" like China.
