Alison “Cybera” Cybe is a Bram Stoker Award nominated author who specialises in fantasy and horror fiction. They are the manager of the gaming website http://www.CybesWebsite.com in which they write articles, editorials and reviews. Their first published work, a collection of short psychological horror stories, enjoyed a brief stint on the bestseller charts and was soon joined by many others, and their previous work has been featured in several horror and sci-fi/fantasy publications including Dark Cities, Interzone and Phantasmagoria magazines.
They work as a freelance writer for companies including tabletop RPG publishers Cubicle 7 and Green Ronin Publishing, and has written extensively on inclusion and positive representation within the gaming community, and has contributed short fiction to multiple gaming publications. Their recent published works includes a series of LGBTQ+ comedy novels, along with horror works for Weasel Press and comedy fiction for Thurston Howl Publications. They currently pen a short transhumanism thriller series which enjoys weekly chapter-by-chapter online publication.
Rates Negotiating, paying for, or otherwise contracting a commission acknowledges that you (you being all purchasing or otherwise directly involved parties) have read and agreed to abide by the following Terms of Service. Fiction under 1,500 words GBP £0.02 per word
Fiction from 1,500 to 4,999 words GBP £0.03 per word
Fiction from 5,000 to 9,999 words GBP £0.04 per word
Fiction from 10,000 words upwards GBP £0.05 per word
Non-fiction GBP £0.05 per word
Editing GBP £8 per 1,000 words
Proofreading GBP £5 per 1,000 words
Projects (visual novels, scriptwriting etc) This is assessed on a project by project basis
Process Once accepted, a first draft of your story will be completed and submitted back to you for approval. At this stage you will receive an invoice for the final total cost. Following your approval of the first draft, editing will be completed on the project to complete your final work – this editing is included in process at no additional charge. Full payment is required before final work will be sent. Turn-around time for both phases of these works will vary, and you may view progress on Trello.
Upon initial receipt and acceptance of your project, you will be asked what your maximum word count will be.
