Drawing tips please

Okay, heres the question. Basically I am not really much use when it comes to drawing furries but I think its about time I got a furry avatar.

The hardest part I have trouble with here though is I want to draw feline-like legs on my character (an anthro) and have the centre of balance and length right and no matter how hard I try I can't seam to get it positioned sensibly.

So as a result I ask, does anyone have any good tips for the drawing legs or any guides or something I can look at?

This is what I have so far :: https://inkbunny.net/submissionview.php?id=130472
Figuring out the paws is hard. All critisism welcomed.

As a result of the advice given I have decided to do multiple pictures of this character.
Still eager to hear comments and opinions so these two knew sketches will be the base for the other pictures. My original picture above has been dropped in favour of a variation of supremekitty's sketch below.

One thing you can try is this site: http://www.drawfurry.com/?p=29
It has some nice tips.

And otherwise I can just recommend practise. Try it with human anatomy first (don't reference drawings only. Use real pictures as well) when you have a grasp of the anatomy try adapting it to furry anatomy.

If you wanna get non-porn nudes you can try here: http://sexisnottheenemy.tumblr.com/

In the particular example:

First of all you have decided on a very difficult character. Multiboobies and wings are both hard to pull off convincingly. Very large breasts are a bit more difficult too.
The thighs I think should be shorter and the heel higher for a digitigrade foot.
The anus sits a little bit too high.
The tail (if the scythe like thing is a tail) comes from her body in an awkward position
Her face is unbalanced. Do you want a more human face or a furry face with snout (for the former try the new thundercats series, they have humanoid, feline heads you could use as ref)

Also what are these things on the tip of the wings? Vaginas?

(hope i wasn't too harsh ^^)

Not harsh at all. I asked for criticism cause I couldn't figure out what looked wrong. The bits at the end of the wings are meant to be claws. The face I tried several times to get right but couldn't figure out what I was doing wrong. I will look at the new series like you suggest as I want this to be semi feline.

The tail was pointed out to me by someone else. I plan to change how and where it protrudes from the body.

The rest I will definitely consider - :D I thank you greatly for your feedback.

oh wait you said the tips of the wings. Actually I confess I'm not sure. Originally I'd intended to draw like a bone connection or something there but I couldn't get that to look right either. I just had someone suggest that I have the wing-structure upside down...
... Another thing to look at.

You can pop in one of my streams if you want and I can try redlining it ^^

[hugs] I would love too. although I'm australian. It's 2.30am and I am on  the edge of snoozeland. Can I try and take you up on that at a better hour (for me at least)?

I did not mean now. I stream whenever I feel like it. Just watch our for a stream anouncement. There is usally time in the end for doodles.

Eh, the whole anatomy of this picture is so off that I'm not even sure what to tell you.
I'm not even sure what position this picture is supposed to portray, and what perspective.
Working with something like that is not really possible to me, because I can hardly tell anything about the picture. The hair lacks definition, the face lacks definition, the body lacks definition, the position lacks definition, even the scythe (?) is hard to visualize.
You would have to learn/relearn the basics from scratch (anatomy, proportions, perspective, etc), which takes lots and lots of time. And reference everything, the position, wings, scythe, hair, face, etc. Understand how everything functions. Or I dunno, go trace someone's picture?
Here is some direct analysis http://postimage.org/image/dk1mnmmc/
Not sure how else I can help you

You are trying a hard character in a somewhat hard position while you lack a good grasp of the basics.

pps: ( I got the posture basically by sitting on my bed opposite a mirror... That's why it looks so awkard. Because it WAS awkward to get myself so I could see all of myself. Hopefull that explains the position of the left arm and the bunched up breasts. The new picture will be more comfortable now I have a decent reference picture )

I would like to thank publicly supremekitty for her feedback, you are a jem dear. And more helpful than you could know. As a result of her suggestions I will be redrawing this picture completely from a different (more friendly) camera angle than what I had attempted. She also gave me some really good pointers (actually a visual reference) on parts of the anatomy I had little to no idea of how to draw.

Hopefully next time you see an image out of me it will be a final picture not a half-assed one like this :)
