Today was by far one of the hardest things I've ever done. Salem (my kitty) passed around 1:30. He started having problems breathing, vomiting and yowling, as well as stumbling around and knocking into things. I carried him and tried to put him into the carrier but...he died in my hands.
Needless to say, I am not going into work today. I am burying him at Robert's mom and step dad's house.
If I could take away one lesson Salem has taught me...it's to always remain patent, no matter what others do to you, and literally be a "Not give a fuck cat."
RIP my dear, sweet Salem Fuches. You were one of the greatest kitties I've ever owned...and will probably be the last one. I'm glad that you came into my life, and were with me during times I felt the most alone.
/Salem, the kitty cat,
The kittiest cat you know
Who jumps and pounces all around
The newfallen snow.
Salem, the kitty cat
The quietest cat you'll hear
Know in all of your adventures
Mommy is always near./
He was scheduled to be put down at 2 today...but I guess he wanted to do it on his own time.
