Stopped by the company clinic yesterday to get my new hormone implant on the way out of the office, and I felt slightly buzzed today when I woke up.  It wasn't until I had made it to the office that I had some idea what was different this time - the little thrill that ran up my spine when I was greeted was the first thing I could put a paw on.

I'm not quite sure what happened in the meantime or how I ended up there, but this was snapped with a mobile no more than two minutes after the secretary said hello while I was clocking in.  Believe me - I have the timestamps to prove it.  But, there I was, climbing into the lap of the new chief risk officer, (Yes, we have a chief risk officer, now!  I think I'm down to wearing only three hats at board meetings, since we added this guy.) one limb at a time, and not really caring that I wasn't going to fit.  I know the Christmas cocktail (What they've got me on - the new Christmas blend) is supposed to lead to physical displays of affection and snuggling, but I must've forgotten how hard it kicks, when it kicks in.  Last time, I got mine on the way to meet the other Reindeer, so the onset of the drug and the thrill of the situation probably just lined up so I never noticed it.  This time, I made a goof of myself in front of my colleagues, but... that's a large portion of my job description, so I can't really bring myself to be embarrassed about it.

God, I hope we didn't talk about anything particularly interesting this morning.  I'm not sure how much I could have contributed, under the circumstances.

This is me trying to get back on the NaNoWriMo wagon. Projects have come up and probably ruined this attempt at coming in ahead of schedule and under budget, but right now I've got a four-act Lapdragonverse novel in the works, and this as well as the previous two images are direct tie-ins. Many of the previous ones lead up to the events in question, and I could tie them in, but so far it's this, "A New Cocktail", and "Capsule Hotel" that were made to tie into a larger plot.
