It was an interesting day. Filled with many things and many emotions. It was a day for all of us. I hope it made you happy. I heard your voices and I felt your imaginations. That universal self pride and determination than artists of all walks share. I knew you would make the most of it.
I heard your hearts beating and your thoughts running. Then I heard some of you cry out. That I was deceiving you. That I was preaching to you. That I was handing you falsehoods and misdirection. I want to sit with you some night. I want you to look inside yourself and I want you to ask what you are afraid of. What is holding you back.
I want you to ask why you can't for one moment let sincerity share your company. You don't need to give me an answer. You don't need to answer to anyone because the truth is I want you to hear your voice most of all. Maybe you lost a little faith in yourself and you believe no one else could. Maybe someone hurt you. Maybe the truth is.. you really do just hate.
But I want you to think about that. I want you to take whatever that is and I want you to play with it. I want you to use it. I want you to..apply it. Not by taking away. Not by taking away from others, not from yourself..but making something of it. Make art, stab the paper. Make a song..write the lyrics. Do something. Do anything. Grow from who and what you are and not for one second believe it's not as good as putting anyone down. Maybe you don't want anything. I want you to want more.
