Ack this took me waaaaay longer than it should. Guess I just go procrastinating with it. Stil though am with how it turned out. First time drawing a Sugar Glider. ^^

Scott walked into the game shop for the first time and took in the sight of it. The small shop was new to the area but it was set up nicely. Video Games to one section, Board Games to another, Table Top RPG stuff to another with a big section devoted to miniatures. And of course there was a smattering of game related products through out. The new comers who set it up had done a good job of it. Scott wondered about a bit taking in the layout and smiling as he got ideas for future purchases. But for the moment he didn't have the money for more than what he'd come in for. A friend had told him the shop had Raptor Z1 on sale. Scott was totally in on that. He'd been playing the series for a while now and had gotten to love the Shoot RPG mix. Not to mention playing as the Raptor protagonist was nice as it made Scott feel a bit bigger. He always got teased a bit for his height. Sugar Gliders were short but he was a tad short even for a Sugar Glider. To top it off his high metabolism had him going so often he had to wear diapers or he'd be in the bathroom every 20 minutes. Of course the Fox shop keeper who was new to the town didn't know any of this. All he noticed was what was a cute lil tyke all on his own roaming his shop looking at everything. Obviously a young or maybe slow cub given obvious diaper which peaked out from beneath the shorts. Joe sighed as he saw the cub pick out a video game having just stocked it yesterday he knew this cub was too young to purchase it. He hoped there wouldn't be a tantrum over it as the cub approached the register with the game and sat it on the counter.

"This is still on sale right? 15% off?" Scott asked as he sat the game on the counter.

"Yes it's still on sale." Joe answered fishing for how to tell the kid he couldn't get it.

"Good then. Won't wipe me out this week." Scott grinned as he got his wallet out and Joe decided to just be direct.

"Sorry kid but you need to be at least 13 for this one. You'll need an adult for this one." Joe told him as sympathetically as he could.

"I'm 17." Scott said as his ears lowered and he scowled a bit pulling his license out of the wallet. "Sugar Gliders are just short."

"YOUR 17? Really?" Joe asked a bit incredulously. This kid couldn't be that old. Heck he was still in diapers. This was probably a school ID card Joe thought.

"Just look at the license already." Scott said suppressing the urge to groan as he handed it off to Joe.

"Well...I'll be." Joe muttered as he took a look at the License which bore the face of the 'cub' before him as well as the usual information including birth date. It certainly wasn't a school ID and it definitely looked genuine. Joe blushed then looking down at his customer who he realized he'd just insulted. "I am soooo sorry. Y-you don't look your age."

"Yeah I get that a lot. I'm a Sugar Glider. We're not big Furs and I'm a little short even for a Sugar Glider. Small size means I have to shop in the kid's department so I look even younger." Scott explained as Joe scanned the game and bagged it.

"Well I'll make sure the other staff know. I promise and I've very sorry for the mix up." Joe went on idly wondering why the cub, no teen, was wearing a diaper but pushed that thought aside. "That will be 30.65. I put in my employee discount."

"Wow...thanks." Scott said surprised as he got out the money. "Most wouldn't do that. Well I think I know where I'm getting game stuff."

"No problem. You probably get more of this mix up than you'd like to remember so it's the least I can do. And thanks." Joe smiled warmly feeling that he'd just gained a loyal customer.

"Oh Yeah. It's a bit of a head ache whenever someone new moves into the area or I have to deal with a new clerk or something." Scott nodded as he took his bag. "Well see you later. I'll tell my friends."

"I appreciate that. See you later." Joe waved as Scott walked out of the store.

Joe wiped his forehead and sighed as he was glad not to alienate a customer. Scott meanwhile grinned at the game in the bag and the flier for a game night there. He'd have to tell Dylan about that. It'd probably be a fun time. Even if it was across town for him. This Joe guy seemed nice enough. The age thing was a common Little Mistake. Nothing to hold against him. Shop like that deserved more business. Scott made a note to spread the word about it too and thank Edger for the heads up.
