Arnold shakily took up his phone tears streaming down from his eyes.His parents were at it again with their abuse. Charles, his father, didn't hit him as much,thankfully.But the words his mother Lisa used hit him hard. I mean,why wouldn't it?Your own mother,telling you that you were a mistake of sorts?This abuse has been happening since Arnold came out to like girly things,make up,dresses,skirts,lip gloss,act girly be girly.His parents despised him and since then made him technically live in his room.He had to buy his own food,wash his own clothes,buy his own clothes,make his own money.He was left to fend for himself.Its only one can take so much before they finally break and he did.Arnold ran to his room as soon as his parents got "bored" of him persay and picked up his phone calling the only one who could help him right now..Leroy.When Arnold first fell in love with Leroy he thought it was just a little baby crush,but spending his evenings over at Leroy's with his bestfriend Nini it started to grow and he started to fall even more for the spotted creature.He loved that Leroy was so talented,he'd love the evenings they'd spend in the basement playing the piano together,laughing,watching Leroy draw or trying to compose a poem from random idea's Arnold comes up with,it all just took Arnold's breath away.He loved each and every second spent with Leroy.The day Leroy confessed to also liking him,and telling him that he could always come to him,he could always rely on him,count on him to be there for him.This was one time Arnold really needed him and finally after 4 rings there was a voice drowsy with sleep "mm..hello?"Leroy was still up,as usual probably working on commissions..
"L-leroy.."Arnold stammered paused then continued "I need you..p-please I...I don't want to be here anymore I-I've had enough p-please come for me please.."in the background there was some shuffling then a jingle.
"I'm coming,stay where you are,don't let them in lock the door,stay on the phone with me Arnold"Leroy quickly said then shouted for Ink and Dawn telling them he'll be back,then a door closing then more jingling of keys.Then he started talking to Arnold again"Arnold..baby listen to my voice okay?Clam down,breath,just listen to me block out everything listen to my voice"
Those soothing words he's been longing for echo in his ear,his breathing slowing down to an almost normal paste his body relaxing slightly voicing a croaked 'Leroy' only to be soothed by a soft sh followed by an its going to be alright.
Twenty minutes later Leroy arrives quietly getting out car telling Arnold viea phone to look out his bedroom window,their going to have to risk jumping since his parents will see him coming out of his room,quietly Leroy stands by the side of the house looking up hanging up phone as Arnold poke head out,looking very relived,turning going back in the bedroom then appears back at the window throwing a bag out the window for Leroy to catch,which he does.
"Cmon Arnold"Leroy said as he put down the bag then looked up those strong arms open and read to catch him"I'll catch you..I promise I won't let you drop"
"Do you promise.."Arnold very shaken up that he'd have to jump out the window looks down at Leroy uncertain,but when Leroy gives him a very,soft,caring smile he gains enough courage,still very hesitant though,but,he jumps and it all happens so fast but he's caught in strong arms with a grunt,but non the lest he's held close to a strong chest in strong arms,safe.
"Arnold..I'm so glad your not beat up badly..christ..Arnold"In the moment,Leroy kisses his forehead holding him in his arms still Arnold nuzzles closely to Leroy gripping his shirt tightly almost crying from the joy overwelming in him now.Leroy hurries to the car laying arnold in the backseat with his bag closes the door and goes around to the front getting in,driving off.
At Leroy's which Arnold could now consider home,he's snuggled up with Leroy on the couch both holding a cup of coffee one of Leroy's arms safely around his lovers shoulders.Arnold then says with a tinted red hue on his cheeks.
"I'm glad I have you" to which Leroy replies with a smile and a kiss to the forehead and says"Drink your coffee and warm up before it goes cold bunny.Don't get sappy that's my job as a poet"
Arnold giggles and sips the coffee,then a smile,feeling very at peace and
