----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
October:

Well it is just the first week of October and the chill in the air has become very uncomfortable if you don't wear a heavy sweatshirt every time you step outside. When Donnie,Mikey, April and myself watch the football games we all are in layers of clothing. I wear a long sleeve shirt underneath a t-shirt, then a sweatshirt, followed by a warm zip up coat, ear warmers have become essential along with gloves and hand warmers. Then after the game is done we go hang out across the street at the diner because it is to cold to sit outside any longer. But the one thing that has been going around school like crazy now is preparing for homecoming. The dance is two weekends away and everyone is absolutely excited about it. I can't figure out why everyone is excited though isn't homecoming just a dance? I don't see the point in getting all excited about one silly night.

"So Leonardo do you think Raphael is going to ask you to homecoming?" April asks

We are studying at her house for a huge math test that is coming up, but we decided to call it quits for today.. Two and half hours of nothing but math is not fun.

"I don't know, but I also don't understand why homecoming is such a big deal? People go out on dates all the time why should you dress up in expensive clothes and spend the money at a super nice restaurant when you can go do that any other night of the year but without the huge cost?" I say placing my things back in my bag.

"Are you crazy Leo? Homecoming is a blast!"

"I still don't see how it could be that exciting."

"Oh my gosh Leo! The best way to go about homecoming is to get a group of friends together and have a fun evening, then you can have a date or not. You get dressed up, you go have fun together at a restaurant it doesn't have to be expensive, go dance like crazy at homecoming, and then go do something fun after!"

"Yup still don't see the excitement in all that. It just seems normal."

"You've never gone to homecoming."

"Why would I have, my other schools sucked."

"Leo I know that I wasn't asking a question, I'm simply saying you don't understand because you haven't gone before. It will be fun trust me!

"So I'm assuming I don't have a choice I have to go?"

"Yup and I'm certain you will have a date." You say with a wink and I feel my cheeks get slightly warm.

"What makes you so certain Raph will even ask me to the dance."

"Because this is the first time, he has ever truly liked and cared about someone. He never has showed a lot of interest in an intimate relationship, but with you, he is completely different."

The next day:

"Ok so we all have to help with the hallway decorating this Sunday!!" Mikey says sitting down at the lunch table.

"We usually do Mikey." Donnie says to Mikey

"I know but we have horror as our theme this year!! There is so much we can do with this!!"

"Mikey that is why you are one of the class leads during homecoming week." Raph says and I laugh it is funny to watch Mikey be all excited about homecoming.

"Leo is this going to be your first homecoming?" Donnie asks

"Yeah it is, but I still don't understand all the excitement." I say and I start to play with my food. April gives a frustrated sigh.

"Ok Leo by the end of this week you are going to fully understand the excitement." April says

"How much longer do we have for lunch?" Donnie asks

"About 15 minutes Don. Why you have an experiment that you have to attend to in the science lab?" Casey asks laughing

"No, I'm buying tickets for Mikey and myself for the dance." Donnie says and we all look at Mikey and Donnie in shock.

"Wait are you two going to homecoming together?!" April asks getting excited.

"Well umm.. Yes" Mikey says nervously and he starts to fidget with his hands.

"When did that happen" Raph asks.

"I asked Mikey last night when we were hanging out." Donnie says smiling at Mikey.

"We still are going as a group though." Mikey says

"Well we can make plans tomorrow. Are we still going to your house Raph?" April asks trying to draw the attention away from Mikey and Donnie because they obviously are a little shy talking about themselves "together".

"Yup my mom said this Friday would be fine."

We sit and talk for a while longer before Donnie goes to buy tickets with Mikey.

"My god I didn't think those two would ever figure out they liked each other!" Casey says and we all laugh.

"Can you blame them for being nervous? They've been best friends since they were babies." April says

"Yeah but still, with as much as they flirted with each other you would think they wouldn't have been as blind as they were." Raph says and again we all laugh.

"Alright Red, what do you say we go and get our tickets to the dance as well." Casey says standing up and I can see April blush just a little bit when Casey calls her by her nickname.

"Ok, well we will see you guys later." April says grabbing Casey's hand before leaving the lunch room.

"So do you have plans for after school?" Raph asks me and I can feel myself get slightly nervous... especially after all the talk about homecoming.

"I have some homework to complete but other than that no." I say and you tangle our fingers together.

"Well we could do our homework together at my house."

"Don't you have football practice after school?" I say and suddenly you frown and I have to giggle.

"I completely forgot." You say with a small groan.

"How about I come over for a little while after practice?" I say and your face brightens up a little bit.

"Yeah, but I'll have my school work to finish first."

"That's ok, as long as I get to spend time with you." I say and I feel myself blush, which makes you laugh.

"Alright as long as you don't mind." you say leaning in and give me a soft kiss.

Much to my dismay the bell rings and we are forced to go our separate ways. As I walk to my next class I can't help but wonder why I am nervous about Raph asking me to the dance. Maybe I'm worried that he won't ask me... No that's silly, even if he doesn't ask me why would I care it's just a dance right? But don't most couples go to the dance together? I mean Casey and April are going "together", so are Donnie and Mikey, but what difference does it make if we all are going together as a group.. What's the point of actually having a date?....

My mind continues to be distracted over this whole homecoming thing and even as the bell rings I can't even focus on the fact that my teacher has started class. Well maybe not started really considering there still is a lot of talking going on.

"Ok class I want you to meet and welcome a new student to the school. This is Mark Gravler"

Suddenly my mind completely freezes and all thoughts of homecoming are no longer distracting me. I slowly look up to the front of the class room and all I can do is shrink down into my chair. Mark is a tall wolf with deep brown fur and eyes that are pure black... Mark is the only person out of all my schools that truly scares the hell out of me. The day I left that school was the biggest relief ever, because I never had to deal with the harassment and torture that came from Mark Gravler. I hope he doesn't see me.. or more importantly I hope he doesn't remember me!

"Mark it looks like there is a free seat back there for today."

As Mark walks down the row of desks I feel absolutely helpless. Please don't see me... Please don't see me. But as he walks by my desk I can feel his eyes starring at me and I take a chance of looking up... That grin on his face makes me want to vomit.... He remembers me and I can tell he is going to try to make my life hell all over again.

The rest of class I can barely focus and it seems like this hour was never going to end. As soon as that bell rang though I left the class in a hurry, praying that Mark wasn't in my next class. I stop at my locker and it takes me a minute to even remember what my next class is, finally I grab the book I need and turn around only to find Mark towering over me...

"Hello Leonardo it's been a long time." Mark says and his deep voice makes me shiver and the darkness in his eyes makes me feel powerless.

"H-hi M-mark" I say swallowing hard

"So you do remember me. Good that will make things so much easier in reminding you of the loser you are." Mark says and I try to walk towards the direction of my next class, but suddenly I feel myself falling forward. I drop the things in my hands and barely stop myself from face planting on the floor.

"Leo are you ok?" I look up and I find Raph kneeling next to me looking concerned. Great I really don't need this right now.

"Oops sorry Leonardo I didn't mean to run into you" Mark says and I can feel myself cringe as he plays off the fact that he just tripped me.

"I'm fine." I say, I grab my stuff as quickly as I can but I find I'm shaking like crazy. I stand up and walk away quickly only to have a soft touch grab my arm and I jump a little bit."

"Hey what's going on you look super pale are you feeling ok?" Raph asks me and I just can't seem to pull myself together.

"I feel fine Raph, I really have to go." I say again trying to take off but you continue to follow me down the hallway.

"Seriously Leo what is the matter." you ask worriedly. I hate the fact you can tell something is wrong right now.

"Raph just drop it for now! Please?" I say frantically and take off into my next classroom.

I sit down and try to calm myself down, but honestly I want to burst into tears. Why did Mark have to come here of all the schools in the country. What makes things worse is I just pushed my boyfriend away because I couldn't figure out how to handle myself.. I feel my cell start to buzz, so I pull it out of my pocket only to see that the text is from Raph. I hesitantly open the message and all it says is "talk to me at my house?" I don't understand how you care about me so much considering all the problems I have, but it makes me smile to know you do care. I push the reply button "Yes I'll talk to you later." After that I put my phone away and try to focus at the tasks in front of me. I hope I can survive the rest of the day.

When I get home I still find myself stressed to the max and I have trouble focusing on my homework. I keep looking up at the clock watching as the minutes tick by and much to my disappointment Raphael's football practice has only been going for 5 minutes. I give a frustrated sigh and fall back onto my bed so I'm laying on my shell. My eyes wander around my room before they finally reach my I-pod dock. Perfect. I hop off my bed and turn on my I-pod, I turn the volume up and I feel myself relax a little bit. At least enough for me to concentrate on my homework. A couple hours later I put all my school stuff away and I can feel all my energy is completely drained. I feel my phone start to vibrate and much to my relief it's Raph. "Hey just got done with practice." I stuff my cell back in my pocket, grab my wallet and keys and practically run down to my car. It doesn't take me long to get to Raph's house. I knock on the door and wait, but much to my surprise your mom opens the door.

"Leonardo, it is nice to see you!" She says with a bright smile, opening the door further and waiving me inside.

"Hi Mrs. Ringer." I say with a smile walking inside.

"Raphael, is in the shower right now and I unfortunately have to run. I just got called back into work."

"Is the hospital that busy?" I ask

"Well we are always busy with patients, but my co-worker called in sick so I have to go back in. The life of a nurse never seems to take a break." She says with a smile and I laugh.

"Don't work yourself to death though." I say

"Oh I won't, feel free to make yourself at home." she says giving me a quick hug before rushing out the door.

I walk towards your bedroom and open the door to find you already have your school stuff scattered everywhere. I laugh and have to wonder how you manage to keep yourself organized. I sit down in the chair by your desk and spin myself around a couple times, before I stop myself and study your wall. You have tons of trophy's and medals from all the years you have played football. I smile as my eyes land on a picture of you holding your first medal. You're grinning like crazy as your dad has you sitting on top of his shoulders, the medal is wrapped around your neck but you are showing it off for the picture and in your other hand you are holding a football.

"Hey I didn't know you were here already." you say wrapping your arms around my shoulders. I smile and spin myself around in the chair so that I'm facing you. I feel myself turn red as I see you didn't bother putting on a shirt. You laugh at my expression and nuzzle my face.

"Like what you see babe?" you say with a grin.

"Yes." I say in a whisper and I can't help but look, you are fricken ripped. You give a quite laugh before giving me a heated kiss.

Quickly I find myself losing consciousness of my surroundings. I wrap my arms around your neck and pull you closer. You deepen the kiss and lean your body closer to mine. We pull away for just a second to breath before our lips crash back together. I can feel my body temperature start to rise and I feel you pull my whole body closer to yours. I wrap my legs around the middle of your body, suddenly I feel you pick me up and I gasp. You lay me down gently on your bed, climbing carefully over top of me.

"Raphie what are we doing?" I say out of breath and I watch as you look into my eyes.

"I Honestly have no idea" you say leaning down giving me another kiss, before rolling to the side of me.

"We should probably slow down though before we take it too far." You say quietly and tangle our fingers together. I nod my head in agreement and snuggle closer to you. We lay on you bed in silence for a few minutes, both of us just relaxing.

"How much homework do you have?" I ask really not wanting you to have to get up.

"I already finished it. Which explains my books scattered everywhere and why I was in the shower when you got here."

"Wait, but you weren't even home for very long."

"Today is Thursday, every Tuesday and Thursday coach requires us to have an hour long study hall before practice then the rest of the week we have 30 minutes of study hall. To ensure we are keeping are grades up. So I finished most of my work there and then completed what was left when I got home."

"So that explains why you never seem to have homework." I say with a laugh

"Yup which is nice because it gives me more time to spend with you." You say resting your head against mine.

"So care to tell me why you were acting oddly earlier today?"

"Raphie I didn't mean to push you away, I was just so flustered I couldn't think straight." I say quietly.

"It's ok, I knew you were upset."

"Did you see that guy who said he 'ran' into me?" I ask and you nod your head.

"His name is Mark... We went to school together two years ago...... But he bullied me and truly scared.... actually scares the hell out of me. He was giving me a hard time, before he tripped me and that's pretty much when you showed up."

"Are you fucking kidding me! This is ridiculous."

"Raph, I unfortunately have a very bad and dark past.... and I will understand if you're tired of dealing with everything I'm being forced to face. Nobody wants a boyfriend that is always in some sort of trouble."

"Woah, Leo hang on a second don't be saying something like that! You're hurting but that doesn't mean you let it affect you all the time. I'm not going to leave you over things like this, I want to help you move past them."

I snuggle closer to you, trying to hide my embarrassment from everything. I hate having to go through all of this torture. But honestly I'm glad I have you here with me. Both of us slowly start to dose off, suddenly you sit up a little bit and I thought you were getting ready to get up until you pull a blanket over the both of us and lay back down. I smile and fall asleep. The last thought I have is how did I get so Lucky?

Ok so I was definitely ready to keep going with this chapter, but I decided to go ahead and break it off here because if I kept going I think it would have become super long..... But at least I'm ready to tackle chapter 10!
I hope you guys enjoy this chapter, I became a little discouraged about halfway through because I felt like things werent going as smoothly as I would have liked. Which is why this chapter wasn't posted sooner. But by the time I reached the second half I felt a little better. Not my most favorite chapter, so I hope it doesn't bore you to death.
Oh and yes Leo has another new problem to face in life right now, Justin is no longer a problem for obvious reasons, but will he be able to handle the pressure from both his father and Mark Gavler?
