This year, I was BUSY! And this collection will give you some of that info. (Left Side) TOP - The AC Furry Femme Shoot: I've been PROUDLY a part of this special Femme-Character-only shoot since 2009 and, as always, it is a PRIVILEGE to get you ladies down with me. Considering this shoot ran a little over three hours, I was VERY tired after lugging around my equipment, as you might imagine. (There will be a specific upload for this photo shoot a little later.)
MID - Fursuit Builder Shoot for TEMPERANCE: I was THRILLED to be photographer for suit builder Temperance with some of her creations. Since the theme this year was, "Viking Invasion", some of her folks were decked out in full-on regalia.... and this shoot ran about three hours outside in the heat. They were some SERIOUS troopers with me and I am VERY glad we got all the shots we did. As an aside, this was one shoot I wish I had a slightly different setup allowing me to use a tripod for a specific set of pics. Still, you guys were GREAT to work with! thanks for your patience! BOT - Fursuit Builder Shoot for LUCARIO: Please forgive me, I'm at a little bit of a loss for the builder's info off the top of my head. Been at work on this collage for the better part of three days off-and-on. BUT! Was a GREAT shoot - some AMAZING suit designs with some cute twists. (Including CRUNCH, the red dragon in the back, having her premier!) (There will be a specific upload for this photo shoot a little later.)
(Center) Two of the signs put out by "The Exchange" ( http://theexchange.com/ ) during the con. The second, as you might imagine, was in honour and respect for Satoru Iwata who was president and chief executive officer of Nintendo until his untimely death on ConSaturday, 11 July, at 55 years. It was a big blow to gamers around the world and affected many at the can, as you might imagine. I took the time to go into the store and shake the hand of the cashier on duty and thanked them for the tribute.
And at the bottom is me with Rin-The-Dragon during the Furry Femme Shoot (she got there late). Rin is a love, always a wonderful lady. Since she was the last for photos, I took a few minutes to enjoy time with her.... and even taught her a simple ballroom dance step! With my eyes closed and her in her suit. For the first time in 10 years, since my wife's death, I was able to say, "I love you" to someone; to Rin. Up 'til that point, I simply could not say those three words together to anyone but my daughter and the memory of my wife.
(Right Side) TOP - This year's Guest of Honour (GoH) was Ted Giannoulas aka 'The San Diego Chicken'! And I was able to get a few minutes of his time for a photo AND a short video for my daughter! Mister-The-Chicken was WONDERFUL to speak to... and I have no problem saying I was a bit star struck! He was a GRACIOUS man with me and I can only wish he comes back again sometime.
MID - For the last couple of years I've been inviting folks to come out on ConSaturday morning for 'Breakfast With Fred', where we take a walk to the Fred Rogers Memorial Statue and have breakfast. Nothing to it but that, to honour one of the great and influential people in some of our young lives. (As an aside, one of the pictures I tweeted out about this year's breakfast https://twitter.com/ShujinTribble/status/61985225995076... was fav'd by the main twitter account for WQED, the TV station that Fred used to work at. I was OVER THE MOON to find out about that!)
BOT - Some of my... (*SMILES*) My Friends. Moth Monarch, Rin the Dragon, Me and Agent Elrond. (Not pictured but there in spirit with me is Floppy Belly.) Yes, I've got ladies around me, not very different than college for me, really. They are, individually, wonderful people.... but get them together for dinner and who KNOWS what'll happen?! (*GRIN*) And they are my friends. And I am privileged to have them.
So, for now, that's it! I've still got a couple of photo collages to get to PLUS the Furry Femme Shoot PLUS a Walk-Through video for you all from the Con.... PLUS... I've got my country's 500th anniversary to plan, my wedding to arrange, my wife to murder and Guilder to frame for it. I'm positively swamped.
