Kace suddenly felt her entire being lock up frozen in the middle of the upgrade as her worst fear gripped her in total shock. Somehow someone had gotten through the galaxy's greatest security network, and now they were infiltrating, violating her body as the alarms sounded too late. She couldn't even hear them, only feel the searing cold creeping from her ports and steadily consume her figure. Beautiful cream fur was eaten by shadow and her markings turned to pitch black. All joys of life that defined her were withering away, and all she could do was watch in horror with all her command functions overruled.
The virus put up it's own defenses; locking itself in with clasps and chains. She didn't want to believe this was happening, but now she was never more awake in the panic of her true consciousness beginning to slip into darkness, nothingness, death. She tried to hold on, grasping the hardest she could onto the feelings most dearest to her, "Flaer..." but even they started to disintegrate. When Kace's last desperate lingering thought faded like an echo did the mind start to realize nothing was immortal, and a sinister, resentful misery started to take place.
The dark creature that now resided couldn't tell itself apart from the void of meaningless nothing. Its threshold of sanity had been dissolved...and in exchange for that cost, the world was going to pay dearly....
