I tried drawing Clark Kent and sundry British comedy actors, but the results were wholly unrecognizable . My art skills are NOT good enough. Maybe they declined over the years...

The Pied Piper of Hamlin tale may have been based on an actual event, details scarred over by garbled telling & retelling over the centuries. My guess is that the gypsies may, MAY have been the descendants of the children he magicked out of the defrauding town.

It's too late to edit my prior comment about the Pied Piper, but I looked up the data. There are many versions about what happened. One theory is that the "children" were taken to colonize a region that the German Emperor wished to expand his dominions into, to increase his power in Eastern Europe, then deemed a region of barbarians. Another gave a date of 1383, mentioned in the town chronicles. Another was that the children were induced to go on a "children's crusade" which was NOT authorized by the church, and when they never returned, the tale was concocted to avoid the anger of the church on said Unauthorized crusade.
