Not really. Art Deco has been a more grounded style that had been highly influencing to artists of the 1920's and onward. One might say it was short lived in the grand scheme but it hasn't really vanished especially in pop culture and parody. Which is exactly why I examined Art Deco posters and propoganda while working on this particular picture. So you are spot on!
