Background/History
While in the orphanage, she was subjected to god-awful testing. Dan's doctor, Amy, diagnosed Katie with stage 2 intestinal cancer in four different areas of her intestine. She weighed 38 pounds (17 1/4 kilos) when she was adopted. While she's clear of the cancer now, it will take MONTHS for her to recover.
