I know this is not my normal stuff, But its my own little salute to all those who have served thier country no matter what branch or nation. Talking to a friend he had mentioned the one thing that was always there to keep him going is a picture of his family . It was days later I remembered that even those who served in wars passed mentioned the same thing in all the history shows and such. it truely seemed to be what kept them going, So this is my own little gift to all those who have served past and pressent. And for those who may in the future .

Having served in the Navy myself, this touches home with me. All of our nations troops keep their families close to heart, because the crap we go through daily would destroy us otherwise. If it wouldn't offend, I would like to lend some color to this. when done, I would send it to you. Many thanks, and thanks for supporting our troops.

It is no trouble at all. From me, as well as the others who are/have served, we thank you for your support. The kindness from people like you means a lot. As for the picture, I cannot promise a date to be finished by, due to my time constraints, but I will try to get it to you once done. If I cannot, I will post it on my page, and give proper credit, as well as a link to the original. Keep doing what you do best!

I have seen this image before on the net and was happy to find it here and find out the creator of the image.

Like phyrexfirestorm, this image hit home for me but in a different way. My father is retired US Navy, having served in Vietnam. My grandfather was retired Naval Reserves having served in Korea. And a fair number of other relatives that were/are military, but I don't want to ramble on and bother you so much with the list. ^^;

All in all, I wanted to say this image was amazingly well done and wanted to say thank you for making it. This image shows the struggle that both soldier and families face when they are called to duty. I also wanted to thank you because this image (like other similar images) reminds me of why I am here and reminds me of the sacrifices made for ALL of us in the USA. It helps me stay standing tall and remaining strong against depression and other troubles.

Beautiful an powerful picture.

But beware, in a war movie looking at a family photo places a mark of doom upon you.
