Character Description
Ravihndrah Sam'Dari of the Kalit clan is one of the Royal Scribes of the Abunese Royal court. Mostly known with his nickname Ravin (since he never liked his full name), he's a close friend of Queen Kaliendra, and he's been raised in her clan as their personal scribe.
Born in Enit, in year 2209, Ravin is the only child of Sohys Elmash of the Kalit clan, mathematician and personal scribe of Prince Zu II Ahkis and Syit Thelar of the Kygila clan, a servant. He's been raised by Kaliendra's court, who treated him almost like their own son, since his father was away with Prince Zu most of the time. Like his father, he always had an interest for writing, so he chose to go to the Quaneth Temple House of Life, in order to study literature, calligraphy and the Abunese, Zonizan and Surakite language.
At the court of the Ahkis clan, Ravin's childhood was normal and without issues, and he never gave troubles to his parents nor to Kaliendra's family. Due to his age, he was the youngest member of the Ahkis court and developed a good friendship with prince Zu, princess Farada and princess Kaliendra, especially with the latter, who considered Ravin as her "little adoptive brother".
After prince Zu's death and Kaliendra's election to Queen, she took Ravin with her at the Royal Palace in Enit, and nominated him Royal Scribe. After he moved to the Royal Palace, he received private lessons from a Quaneth priest until he graduated at 18, becoming a true professional scribe.
Currently, Ravin is one of the twenty Royal Scribes of the Abunese court, and he's one of the court members who's closest to the Queen.
Personality
Ravin has a polite and kind personality. The young Emer takes his role very seriously, and when he writes he doesn't want to be bothered by anybody. When someone is in trouble, he always does his best to help, and always gives one or two Sid to beggars, when he goes out of the palace. Ravin has a secret diary that always carries with him, writing everything he does during his day. When he goes out, he always carries with him a leather bag with the writing tools, an empty sheet of papyrus and some Ge'Ka.
When he's not busy in the Royal Chancery, he likes to walk around the streets of Enit, and taking a swim in the Adir river. He likes to take off his sandals and relax on the shore of the river, especially when he's in the company of Nahara (who nicknames her "Sahyat" which means "the little one" in Abunese), who would like to marry someday, if he'll ever find the courage to reveal his feelings towards her.
Likes/Dislikes
Likes: Ravin likes to write. He considers his job as the court scribe as a mission, and does everything he can in order to write as good as possible and to write the most beautiful and legible glyphs in the court. Sometimes he competes against the other scribes in order to prove who's faster at writing documents. He also likes to sleep under the trees of the Royal Gardens, practicing with his bow and playing the drums. Ravin also is secretly in love with one of the servants, Nahara, but he doesn't have the courage to tell her the truth, because he thinks she would reject him. He likes to drink alcoholics too: the Chanalan is his favourite liquor, although he also enjoys the Nybas, a traditional Surakite liquor made with a local plant. Ravin likes vegetables and sesame bread.
Dislikes: Ravin doesn't like to be bothered when he's writing something, and he gets angry if he does a mistake. He doesn't like Inelan and tends to avoid fish-based foods, because he can't stand the odor.

Body
Ravin has a sleek and fit body. He isn't a muscular boy and his height is average (approximately 1.67 Awas-Ia'Ar, 1.67 metres). He's a mixed Emer with orange fur and a cream muzzle and chest, and has brown hair with a widow's peak, tied in a short ponytail. His tail is orange with a cream tip and the tip of his ears are the same cream colour of his muzzle. His eyes are blue and has a black nose.
He paints his face with the markings of his clan, mixed with some religious markings, to protect him from evil spirits. On his left bicep, he has a tattoo: the Mark of Quaneth, to receive the blessing of the Abunese God of Communications, Maths and Astrology.
Clothing
Ravin usually wears a white cotton skirt and when he goes out, he usually wears a light linen scarf on his shoulders. When he's in the Royal Palace he usually walks barefoot, but wears his leather sandals when he goes out.
Accessories
Ravin wears a leather necklace with a crocodile's tooth as a pendant, a gold headband on his forehead, and an earring on his left ear. He also wears a pair of white glass paste bracelets on his wrists and blue and red anklets on his ankles.
