Today I was invited out to an excursion with the guys from the TV station, to go to the lighthouse and basically have a look around~
Get to the cape and find pretty much all the decend driving routes have flooded, so we have to walk the rest of the way (not particularly nice when you're trying not to fall in the mini lakes where the tracks used to be). Upon arriving at the lighthouse we make our way in and straight to the top. Now, I've made it to the top before, when I was like 5-6, but ever since I've always felt hugely uncomfortable going up again. Somehow I managed to persuade myself to go up this time and I've got a nice stack of photos to prove it! x3
After that we explored the tussoc around the lighthouse, as there's a lot of wildlife that takes shelter in 'them thar rutz' (One of us stumbled across a sealion. XD) and whilst making my way to said sealion I saw where the sun was and thought I'd try a photo like this, purely to see what happened.
I think it turned out rather well myself~
Got to admit I needed a day out, certainly worth it for shots like this!
