I may be working on a series of drawings of a bunch of my friends as dragons. May be.
Okay, I totally am!
...Heh, actually, you can still see my scribbles on the drawings of Shadow there, for who I'm planning on putting in this series. At least right now, it's subject to change! I may add more people, or I may wander off and abandon this series. That's a thing I do sometimes.
Shadow
So first we've got Shadow, because...well, because it made sense! Plus, I have a fun theory that Shads coulda been designed as a dragon, and chose his hedgehog form to be more cuddly for Maria. More cuddly. Not cuddly. Then again...
So yeah, Shads is here being anger for his actions. And by his, I mean mine! Eh, it's what we do! I do annoying things, he gets anger!
...I'm gonna hafta get a screenshot of that excellently bad Sonic X translation.
But yeah, eastern dragons, because they're cool--and have lore that involves them having shapshifting powers! That's right, American Dragon Jake Long wasn't full of shit on that point! I dunno where the chi duplicates thing in that show came from though. So, given that Shads' prototype was the Biolizard, him ending up a hedgehog was...weird...thus I kinda thought it might be fun to make him a dragon, and run with it. Who knows, maybe that's what happens when he takes off all four of his power restrictors!
Knuckles
Heh, Knux as a dragon's pretty hilarious. He's kinda beefy, and coiled around what's meant to be the Master Emerald--so he's sorta got some western dragon-style hoarding going on there. But hey, eastern dragons are also protectors, and they sometimes have those pearls and stuff, so should be alright.
I want to make everyone look distinct, and explore a lot of different ways to draw eastern dragons, so Knux here, in addition to being a bit heavier has big ol' antlers, and back spines meant to emulate his dreads a bit. They kinda end up mostly looking like iguana spines. That's alright!
Tails
Tails is fuzzy, because of course Tails is fuzzy! C'mon, it's adorable! And yeah, the end of his tails are fox tails. Because of course! I had fun drawing him as a young dragon with a light build, and just sprung horns. So far he's the one who's come out the easiest! There'll be a couple dragons I end up putting in the same final composition, and Tails and Sonic are two who'll be together, so that's a thing that'll be happening!
