I'm not sure it was the illness itself that did that. I think she knew she was sick, and wanted one last intimate moment with her husband.

I'm with Zeikcied...

this, really was unnecessary imo, I know the chapter's already written, so nothing matters anymore, still, all this does is upset people, I just...it seems unnecessary and just was there to upset people, there could've been many more different backstories that would have the parents split, and Elie wouldn't have died, of course this is the easiest one to write, but you know, it sucks, doubt I'll read anymore after this chapter's done, we'll see what the next pages hold.

Maybe you don't mean to, but you come across like one of those people who like their stories to be full of glitter, pixies, and dancing princesses / queens through out the entire thing. :/ What he's doing here is straight up in the laws of creative writing / literature if you ever become trained in it.

You can't negatively criticize someone for following the rules precisely.

you do know I'm just stating my opinion right? I don't mind if a story's a little dark, but I just hate death in stories, period, especially of characters I like.

I know it's just a good way to write, and I mean, the writing is really good, I do stick by what I said by thinking that elie's death was unnecessary, but like I said, it's just my opinion is all, I'm not wanting to take away from the writing of the story, or anything, just, I said what I felt about it.

well, I'm glad you didn't take it offensively :)

tbh like I told him, the writing's great, and a good backstory's essential for fleshing out Annie and Angel's story, just, you know, I wish Elie hadn't died, but oh well, your group did a good job on it :) (assuming you still have a group working on this.)

For such a sad gathering, this really is a very beautiful drawing. I really love the more subtle expressions of grief on the adults, though Annie's open wailing isn't out of place at all. Thanks to your skill and the spirit you've invested in your characters, this scene comes across as very real to me. Enough that I almost feel like I was there.

Nah.. is ok.. people just hate when someone they like die.. but life is like that.. someone told me "there's no reason for kill the character" ..totally forgetting people die for unfair reasons everydays....

I think it's a testament to your writing that people like me care so much about your characters that they don't want them to die or have their loved ones die. I didn't want them to lose their mom. I wish you didn't have it happen, but I guess that's because I care so much about Angel and Annie that I don't want them to lose their mom like that.

Whether it be father, mother, or sibling, losing family hurts. This reminds me of the time I lost my grandmother when she fell from having a stroke...
