Using a conventional power charge, this .45cal Iron-stria bullet is pulled and pushed through neodymium super magnets spaced at 1" intervals. Exiting the 24" barrel of the rifle at 7,478 feet per second the iron begins to glow "gold" from the air friction.
I was describing this rifle to my old bio teacher (because yes I am that much of a nerd). All the in-s and outs, how it all works, as well as plausible technologies that could make this a real weapon. By the end of it all, she looked at me, with eyes glazed over and asked "how on earth I knew all of this stuff"
