It sucks being a beginner. Here I was hoping that this would turn out to be of the same quality as something by Pixar or Dreamworks, but it's not. It's frustrating because I know it isn't that great, but I have no idea how to make it better. I know it'll get better with practice, but it's a very SLOW process. Especially when doing fur, since it takes forever to render. For example, I let this render for about 10-12 hours last night, and when I checked it this morning, I found that it had only been able to render 300ish samples out of my goal of 5000. And on top of that, I didn't like the result and had to change some things. So, I ended up having to re-render the entire thing again. X.X
Therefore, this one didn't get to render as long as the last one, but I'm going to call it done because I need to move on. Also, I'll probably have to revisit the fur anyway once I finish the rest of his body. So, here's my plan again:

1. Head Mesh
2. Head materials and fur

3. Body mesh
a. Torso
b. Arms/Legs
c. Clothes
4. Hands and Feet
5. Clothes/Fur Materials
6. Rigging
a. Face
b. Body
7. Final Scene

Again, any constructive criticism would be very much appreciated.

looks good so far. Making good fur is something difficult. Pixar has some very expensive hardware, software and manpower. So you`ll always lose if you compare your work with pixar.
