for YEARS i've wanted to do a comic of servare... problem was when i first started i had zero skill and after i became a competent artist i was then always busy... i had a spare couple of hours so i thought i'd at least do SOMETHING with servare, so here is a possible teaser for a comic, it's still a work in progress and i will be streaming it's colouring stage.

also it's an Inkbunny exclusive because i have LOADS of fur affinity exclusives because that's where i first started out as a digital artist... thing is if i neglect my profile here on Inkbunny then what's the point in having it? so i decided to do some art just for my inkbunny account.

the eyes look the coolest in the third image with no black lines hehe

But in the third image, it's just a suit of armor charging a plume of smoke with glowing blue eyes! The context is lost!

very true, but the eyes are prominent which is what i want in the final product, you see them easily and perhaps are even drawn to them as the first thing you notice.

I'm guessing "Servare" is the charging fox/demon/incubus with the Sharpened-Door-On-a-Hilt™?

you have as much of an idea as i do... ok that will need explaining... you see, when i was about 14 i made friends with two other kids in my school who loved to draw, we decided we would band together to work on comics but we needed a company name!...
after two days of throwing ideas back and fourth someone (i can't remember who) said "what about The CBG!" and we loved it! problem was... we had no idea what "CBG" would stand for... we came up with a couple of ideas like "Comic Book Group" but everything sounded bland so we said we would name it some other time.

around this time we created "David", "Angus" and "Trixy" who i still draw to this day, David became Servare after a while and Trixy became Servare's girlfriend, Angus was my friends character "Angus" (yes we put ourselves in the comic) and i don't draw him very often since the real Angus doesn't want to remember the time when he was drawing furries...
So thing is... we drew comics of them, this was our very first comic: https://inkbunny.net/submissionview.php?id=456531

we designed an entire universe for them to live in simply called The CBG universe, much like the Marvel universe or the DC universe, it seemed the easiest.
So to this day they are all still in The CBG universe, but without my old team, i can't do it justice and i can't change the name. for now it's not an Acronym, just a strange name.

So, essentially, it's just a... defunct comic book setting or something similar? Well, I suppose that works. Reminds me of MPS Productions, something a couple of my friends and I devised back in... high school, I wanna say? In that case, it was the last initial of the three of us. Earlier, the M in MPS wanted it to be PMS, which almost prompted me to punch my friend in the face.

Since then, though, we've mostly disbanded.

it's been very similar here too... i really, really want to remake the old comic! to finish it!... but... we controlled our own characters and... without the others i'm worried i wont represent them well enough! without angus's reactions to the plot i came up with, there would be no angus character, he was the straight man, the one who would question the plot holes and almost break the 4th wall, thing is i'm not like that, i couldn't do what he did... so the character would just become a bland one.

i dunno, maybe in the future... i'm the only member of the CBG now, i fear i wont be able to hold it together...
did you know that at one point The CBG was going to be published? not the original comic but when we got older i found a publisher who loved our ideas for comics, they wanted us to make one and they would publish it! but... something happened... it's a long story but at the end of it, i couldn't make a good enough comic on my own.

maybe i should try and get new people to join, bring The CBG back to full strength! (we had 6 members total), lol though i'll end up taking to the streets with a bell and click board... xD

A bell and click board? Why would you be reduced down to that? I'd offer to join in and assist you, but I barely draw these day, myself, and I can already kinda tell you and I have drastically different art styles... and I'm no author (which is why Space Wings, while still my idea, hasn't actually been written by me since 1994 (two years after I came up with the concept in the first place).

Trust me, were I of any use to you, I'd love to help.

it was meant to be "clip" board lol you know? ringing the bell all "hear ye hear ye! sign up for the CBG group here!" that kind of thing.
some people are useful for behind the scenes kind of activities, like someone who comes up with ideas, marketing, web site management... anything really.
