Ever since her matriculating collegiate years, Imani has thrown her partying artistry days to the wayside and focused exclusively on the actuarial jobs that landed her two cushy jobs as a particle physicist and a regional human resources director. As such, her nose is perpetually clung to the proverbial grindstone – so much so that she’s developed a twinge of Stockholm. Nowadays, new challenges and hurdles elate her and a lack of efficiency in any field peeves her to no end (which is why she made for a killer self-defense instructor whilst Tahajin was still under her tutelage). That said, every beast of burden has a secondary vice. In Imani’s case, it’s caffeine in all of its varieties. It’s one of the few things that can anesthetize her against those monthly tides of data-crunching and spreadsheet analytics. Though, she does frequently vent about being the primary breadwinner off-hours – and just how egregious her higher ups can be at times, retirement is the furthest thing from her mind. ”If anything, I’d miss all of this mental stimulation if I were to just up and drop it all at once.
