It seems daddy felt that his boys should get these hypnotic “Education Glasses” which induce a perpetual trance state in the wearer and feed them new facts and lessons so long as their batteries last.
Opponents of the devices object on the grounds that the cubs who use these glasses shamble around blankly barely acknowledging their surroundings, and that the parents who get these for their cubs leave them on their children for far too long; giving them no time to play and unwind.
Still, supporters (like Milo and Pilou’s daddy) point to the improvement in their cubs, as they become budding geniuses overnight.
Whether daddy did it to improve their opportunities later in life, or to improve his own social standing, Milo and Pilou have already built a 150:1 scale model of the Taj Mahal out of Papier-mâché and made two original full-length compositions for their “Casio Fun-Sized Electric Piano”.
Unfortunately he didn’t count the fact that, mind control or no, if you let young cubs out of your sight for even a moment they are going to get up to mischief. In this case Milo and Pilou are building a death ray to use against the world if their demands are not met.
Their demands? They aren’t quite certain yet, but it will probably be for a truck of party rings.

Thanks. :) The awesome goggles can all be attributed to Cake. I just asked for the situation. Cake suggested the goggles. :) As for the party rings; I was trying to think of a treat that was more universal, but it is hard to think of a brand of confection that is sold in most, let alone all, countries. Then I remembered these from my own childhood and nostalgia wouldn't let me choose anything else. :) I have to ask now: have you heard of Jaffa Cakes?
