She had told herself she ended up on this strip of land by accident, that she was only following the seaside out of convenience. Now...
I just want to see...
...see that everything’s all right.

Everything was fine. The garden was flowing over with greens and flowers, and the sounds of chatting voices rose from the other side of the white cottage, along with some soft music. She could single out Cream’s voice among the rest, full of excitement.
A party, a social gathering of... Before she could think the word, her fur had twitched up on her back, and she had turned to find a trail away from the beach.
But then that voice had called out her name, and Blaze hadn’t been able to move as Cream ran down the garden path, swung the gate open and threw her arms around Blaze’s waist. The hold had been foreign and too familiar at once, and impossible to wrench herself out of. Now Cream was dragging her by the arm back up that path, toward the lights and warm sounds.
”You came back! This is the best birthday gift ever! I’m so happy! I missed you so much!”
Birthday? She had no idea. Cream chirped on, hugged her arm tighter, and Blaze became acutely aware of how much dirt and road grime she had on herself.
”Your dress,” she blurted, ”it’ll get dirty!...”
It was white, to boot. Cream just giggled.
”That’s okay! I’ll wash it myself tomorrow.” She turned down her voice to a dramatic whisper, making it clear that they now had a big secret to keep. ”Then maybe Mom won’t notice I already spilled ice cream on it.”

Glad to have finished this, finally. The sketch must be three years old and it's been lying around almost-colored for months. :p
Also I learned that I know nothing about what gardens look like. *homework*

The only thing that doesn't fit is the keyword "lesbian". This is an insult.

What the hell? Are you harassing my viewers? That is the line. I want you to leave me, and people viewing my art, alone. Thank you.

I've been  staring at this for days in the hopes that I could finally find the words to say just how, why and how much I love this picture, but words continually fail me. The amount of glorious, careful color applied to the surrounding organized-clutter of pure natural beauty could have existed all on its own and given me pause, but then you included a lovingly crafted positioning of two characters who exist in some kind of puzzle-piece shape resonance that just clicks with me so well. The emotions, overt and and underplayed, are almost too much, but I can't get enough somehow.

Cream's face is so cute I'm gonna die. Here lies me, RIP. 2cute4me.

I am so happy you like my (dis)array of plants; I was tearing my proverbial hair out over how little I could draw them and how that would totally ruin what I thought I got right. I worked so long on this - not just when I enjoyed it, but when I was out of energy, anxiety ridden /depressed so I had to force myself because I wanted to see it finished - and all I can see is how it doesn't look like the thing in my head. A comment like this does something for perspective then. (like, get out of your own head, because things look different outside of it) Thank you for phrasing something even though you didn't know how. <3

I spend hours working out poses and faces and everything with the expression of something in mind, a whole-picture, that I don't have good brief words for. When I get hints that it works, that there are layers others see even if they have trouble expressing it too, I break out in victory dances. It's the best thing ever, ha ha. ^ ^ (I did some dancing over your comment on the Marine /Blaze picture. I think nearly everything you mentioned about it was aspects /details I had specifically, deliberately, put together with your enjoyment as the tuning fork; I was pumping my fist going "yesss" at each. :D)

In my childhood, I grew up on a farm where we had plants both practical and not. There's this aspect to plant life that's so clustered and chaotic, yet fits together harmoniously somehow- it's a very specific effect that I have tried and failed to replicate over the years. And yet, you apparently can just do it, which is impressive to me in a way that I don't think anyone else would even really have the capacity to appreciate. It's so awesome, I really really envy you that.

I'm glad you spend so much time on them! One, because it makes your pictures just a cut above the rest every single time. And two, because if you could just slop out amazing expressions, I might have to kidnap you for ransom out of sheer jealousy. : )

I'm totally happy you can enjoy it like that, I can't even say. ^^

On the one hand, I love the result of those 20-30 effective hours drawings... On the other, I feel like doing more simple drawings for a while, just goofing around. Haven't done that much.

The ONLY thing wrong is the keyword "lesbian". Remove it if possible. It doesn't suit it.
The lovely garden reminds me of the jacket of the Ballantine paperback reprint of PHANTASTES, a dream fantasy by George MacDonald (orig, pub. 1858, Ballantine edition 1970. I was still young then, but now...). Anodos, the  dreaming man, walks through a fantasy garden , and into ...
