I did this inspired in a lot of things:

-The song "The boys of summer" by The ataris (it's a Don Henley's cover)
-A short story I imagined where Art and Biro went once again to the beach, and I couldn't help think how Biro looks at the age of 16, I think he's so handsome.
-The desire that I have to sent to hell my thesis and go to the beach
-The boring subject of costs and budgets (zzzzz), and I don't have a lot of time to draw, so I take advantage of that little time of blah blah blah.

He's Biro, the cute and adorable fox, I love him, and the Art's best friend. He's now 9 years old, but in this picture you can see the future when he will be 16.

I'm not a huge Don Henley fan, but when he's right, he's right. And being an old Deadhead, I know he's right.
I'm a fan of your colored pencil work, and this is a great example of why. Fantastic expression, and very sixteen. It's all out there waiting for you kid!

about Don Henley, me neither, but I am a really The ataris fan. Shamefully I have to say I knew this song for Ataris instead Don Henley, and when that morning I was listening that version of the song, plus what I was imagined the last night about Biro and Art, this picture of him became to my mind.
Thank you very much, I enjoy a lot working in traditional.
A quiestion, what is the equal symbol that some here on inkbunny are putting in their avatars?

I haven't heard the Ataris version yet, but when I'm done here it's off to Youtube I go. (I had an Atari 2600 when I was a kid. Now people name bands after it? Weird.)

made the flashing equal sign icons. The white equal sign on the red background has become a symbol of support for marriage equality in the US. They were made to support the supreme court decisions regarding California's "Proposition 8" which made same sex marriage illegal after it had briefly been legal, and also the decision regarding the federal "Defense of Marriage Act" (DOMA) which prevented the federal government from recognizing same sex marriages that were legal on the state level, disallowing federal benefits for same-sex couples.

Oh I understand, thanks for the explanation, I hope here in my state at least consider some of that, even they talk about that, the goverment merely ignore us. Even exist here in Mexico three states where the same sex marriage is completaly legal: Quintana Roo, Mexico city and Oaxaca. It is amazing that in this last one, that is the poorest state in the country, accepts and recognizes the marrage equiality. More ironic that Jalisco (that is the state where I live) is the state with most homosexual people and is completaly ignored to consider any kind of law in favor. It is not punished, but is completely prohibited to kiss a same sex person in the street. X_X
I hope U.S. will be more sensible in that.

Kissing is illegal? As far as I know, nowhere in the US has laws about that. You would probably get dirty looks in some places, maybe even attacked, but there would be no police involvement.
