body of water surrounded by sand, I typically spend my time up on shore, reading a book in the shade. The sound of the water is delightful to read to. Being in the water? Not so much.

If anyone has critique on the perspective or pose itself, I would love to hear it. I want to get better at more interesting camera angles.

My critique: In all honesty I think this picture is quite well done for the angle it's done in. However, the right foot, although very well done, to me seems a little to angled. For the angle of the whole thing I would think you would be able to see some of the bottom of her foot but not quite as much as you've shown in the picture. Really it's just a minor detail that doesn't affect the entirety of the picture. But if the goal is to be as good as you can be at angles like this it's a minor detail worth pointing out. :) Hope I'm not over stepping with this Critique. Anyways, it's still a very well executed image for the chosen angle.

Sorry for the slow reply.

I actually see what you mean about the foot, it didn't even catch my eye until you brought it up! Thanks for telling me about it, it's really nice having some outside eyes helping me find inconsistencies~

The positioning and limb-relation in the pose all seems good to me.  Only two small things of note that I picked out, and both are quite subjective in reality.  The first is that, unless the subject is deliberately turning her ankle up in an attempt to show the sole of the foot to the camera, the angle there is just slightly off (if she is, then it works fine, hence subjective, though more definition on the ankle, in that case might help, if possible).  the other thing that grabbed my eye while I was looking at it was that, in that position, and leaning back at that angle, I'd really expect her supporting hand to need to be back further than it appears.  Like this, the pose looks like an unstable one: i.e. that the subject is either in the process of sitting up, or lying back, and not actually stationary, because if it were a still pose with the hand there, she would be off-balance, or else relying on abs of steel... again though, that's a mostly subjective quibble.  Overall, it's really good.

Now, with that out of the way....   Squeee!!  I love this, it's adorable.  And such a casually joyful -tease-, too, with the swimwear so off-handedly cast aside like that... A little side detail like that tells so much extra story, and I love the way you always show attention to things like that...  Here, it's great because it tells us, She came to the beach in full swim-wear, has settled, and only now, has taken it off...  and the innocent/questioning expression looking up to the shot just adds to it.  It's wonderful.

Thanks for the critique! Sorry it took me so long to reply :o

Yeah, I've had a lot of furs point out the hand positioning, and one or two point out the foot, too. It's one of those things I didn't notice until someone said it, and now all I can do is see it, ha.

I'm glad the overall picture is enjoyable, though. I really like these playful kind of scenes!

The coconuts, they got eyes, ...

The only contention I would have with the overall perspective is that her right leg needs a touch of elevation due to being on top of the left leg as she is sitting. It just does not look quite right in pose and angle.
