Inspired heavily from the Battle Mech Medium class used in Mechwarrior 2 and 3 called the Vulture/ Mad Dog depending on which game you played. this mech was always a personal favorite of mine given it's versatility for endurance, loadout capability, Heat sinks, missile loadout, laser and pulse class weapons it was capable of using and it's top speed at 80MPH, which doesn't sound like much but on a battle field in a giant robot that speed covers a LOT of distance and manuverability.

This reminds me of Battle Tech for SEGA Genesis. Hard game but pretty cool. Anyways, nice sketch

Battle Tech was the basis and same universe as Mechwarrior, which got it's start on the PC, then Super NES, then PSX, XBox and all the while updated to new games via PC, and apparently Battle Tech was a branch off from Sega

though if you read the mechwarrior manuals most of them come with a battle Tech guide that explains the universe, and the clan spheres, such as the jade falcon, clan wolf, Clan Orion, ect... but yeah very kick ass games especially for combat mech simulation... I tend to do well in those games with the exception of armored core where I have a friend who deeply kicks my ass.. but he also wasted half a year playing that game every day.. XD

I remembered one day that my friend got the SNES version and I said "That game plays exactly like Battle Tech". My friend tried playing it but failed miserably and quickly gave up. Then I went to my "show off" stage and took the controller. I beat the first level and he was like "O_O" lol.
Battle Tech was really fun to play. Even though I could never pass the 4th level I enjoyed it a lot when I was a kid. (I hardly remember the password to the 2nd level, I know it had a J and 3 N's at the end.) Sadly I lost the game when I was moving. D: I wonder if I could find a copy on ebay for cheap...

I always preferred the Mad Cat/Timberwolf myself...

... Though this was always my 2nd choice if that wasn't available.

PS: this reminds me, someday I really need to pick up Living Legends.
